So here's the deal. The Christmas before last I bought my friend the Cakewrecks book, which I didn't give to her until her birthday. But that's beside the point. I had this book in its wrapping for quite some time having leafed through it once. Staring at the wrapping. Thinking over and over again about unwrapping it and keeping it for myself.
So she unwraps this book at her party, squeals, then pushes it over to the side to busy herself with other activities. And me, longingly, looking at the book. I haven't heard from the book.
I don't know how it's doing. I assume the book isn't receiving my letters as it's not writing back. I mean, how hard is it for a book to pick up a pen and a postcard and send notice?
In fact, I'm a little worried for the book's safety. Or, at the very least, its emotional stability. But at any rate. I miss that Cakewrecks book so much. And would love to somehow be reunited. Even if it meant sending a completely different Cakewrecks book to me. Or a calender. To a lesser extent.
It's like bananas. In some way. And Jerry Seinfeld in another.

(first time poster, long time reader, facebook fan, and I've been known to make wrecks myself!)
I can't think about Jerry Seinfeld without thinking about a guy I once dated who was obsessed with Seinfeld. Every time we hung out, he made us watch it while he talked about how brilliant it was. Eh, it was a fun show. I enjoyed it, like a lot of other people. But I wasn't ready to commit to it for the long haul.
Oh yeah, and a book would be awesome, to help me get over the memory of that time. ;)
