If so, then I'm sure you understand wanting an 80s pop star on your cake. Uh. Right?
For instance, how about the artist formerly - and now back to currently - known as Prince?
Yeah, he'd totally rock on a cake. Maybe for a birthday, bridal shower, or any nondescript "sexy" occasion, really.
(Say, what kind of cake is this again? Oh, that's right: it's filled with [singing] "RAS-pberry puree...")
Oh, sorry, Demi; that's Boy George. Well, I'm sure he'd be great on a cake, too.
How about a photo cake? Do you have "Faith" that would look better?
Wham I'm not sure that "wham" is appropriate in front of every wham sentence. Wham what do you think? Wham am I right?
And finally, I have to end with what is most certainly NOT a Wreck, so don't even bother trying to find fault with it:
Yep, THAT, my friends, is a David-Bowie-from-Labyrinth cake, aka quite possibly the Coolest Birthday Cake Ever. This thing is up there with the Darth Vader Baby Shower cake in my book. (Well, not the actual book. The figurative one.) Not only does it feature the Goblin King himself, it ALSO says - and with correct quotation marks, even - "You Remind Me of the Babe."
What babe, you ask? Why, the babe with the power.
This cake has renewed my faith in both the airbrush and future generations, so kudos to Maddy's parents for giving her a proper education in all things awesome.
Jenny M., Brian K., Anony M., & Lonny S, you have no power over me.
Related Wreckage: Guess Who!
UPDATE: So apparently, every one of you has seen Purple Rain and can tell that the first cake is actually supposed to be Epco...urm, Morris Day. And it turns out you are correct. Go figure. I'll leave it to Jen to decide how to adjust the post but in the meantime Sexy Morris up there is still giving me the stink eye so I'm still calling wreck. And yes, *sigh* we know George Michael was part of Wham! -john

truth? the boy george cake isn't wreck-worthy...it's nicely done! not that i'd order it for *my* birthday (or anyone else's...)
The first cake is pepto pink!
mysleepinghusband.blogspot.com
I'm going to have "Dance, Magic, Dance" stuck in my head the rest of the day!
"Prince" Looks more like Morris Day.
And excellent reference to Bowling for Soup!
Wham I think I keep getting up every morning a little earlier, just to see if wham another cakewrecks article has been posted.... Wham great wrecks!
If it was a Morris Day rather than Prince cake they were going for, they'd be dead on!
The 'Labyrinth' cake -- hee, hee! I just made my FB profile photo a pic of Hoggle last night :)
Chantal
Are you sure that isn't a young Al Sharpton on the Prince cake? lol.
are you sure that the top one isn't meant to be Little Richard?
That Prince cake looks more like Morris Day, you know, Morris Day and the Time? Anyway, Love the David Bowie Cake, it makes me feel the need to say, "You have no power over me!"
I think the first cake is Morris Day from Morris Day and the Time.
Oh - E - Oh - E - Oh
Are you sure it was supposed to be Prince?
Is it me, or does the Prince cake look more like LIttle Richard?
Jenn
That first cake may not look like Prince, but it sure as shoot looks just like Morris Day from The Time. Still, a wrecky mess.
Haha, that Prince cake reminds me so much of Old Gregg from the Mighty Boosh:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recurring_characters_from_The_Mighty_Boosh#Old_Gregg
What power? ;0)
Holy Freaking Crap that Labyrinth cake is awesome!
But I think I'll try to find fault with it, just to spite you. ;D
Ummmmm... David Bowie's hair could be bigger. I guess. Or maybe it could have some Realistic 3D Codpiece Action. XD
That Prince cake looks more like Morris Day (Cameo) to me than Prince. What do you think: http://tinyurl.com/lhzpmm
Hmmm... you sure they didn't ask for a Morris Day cake?
Are you sure the Prince cake isn't supposed to be Morris Day from Morris Day and The Time? He is often mistaken for Prince, and the cake looks a lot like Morris Day from this photo: http://tinyurl.com/lhzpmm
That first one could be almost anyone from a young Sammy davis jnr onwards,The Boy george is good cant see any wreckiness there, as for George and Bowie just not my thing so "shudder" they give me the creeps.
As your such a fan of Labyrinth i supose we must indulge your blind spot about how is a 5 year old suposed to get that cake obviousley its for her Mum!!
I don't think the Boy George cake it TOO terrible -- If someone were to put it in front of me, I think I could at least guess who it's supposed to be. The Prince cake, on the other hand, I would think is of Little Richard. After he's been punched in the eye.
The first cake looks more like Morris Day, methinks.
"RAS-pberry puree..." Hee! Hee! Hee!
I have a new song to sing and dance around the bakery. Thanks Jen ;D
Is it just me, or does David Bowie not have hands?
Are you sure that's not Morris Day from the Time on the first cake? The mustache seems a bit thick for Prince.
"Chop Chop Sexy" ??? If that's a Prince reference, I don't understand it (and I don't think I want to understand that one either...) must he glare like that at me?
Wham that's great stuff, I chortle out loud and I'm pretty sure my coworkers think I'm crazy---oh well!
That first cake looks more like Morris Day than Prince.
MY EYES!! That "Prince" cake is going to give me nightmares for weeks.
That's not prince, it's Morris Day! It's a perfect likeness.
Really!
That Labyrinth cake is awesome. Every child should experience Labyrinth.
Every time I type Labyrinth it just looks wrong in so many ways.
P.S. -- I think that looks more like LeVar Burton from "Reading Rainbow" than Prince on that wreck. Tell me you don't see it!
Oh my word. That Prince cake looks more like Little Richard than it does Prince! Little Richard with a lazy eye, actually.
I would also like to say that while I haven't seen "Labyrinth" in years and years, it is still one of my all-time favorite movies. I couldn't even attempt to count all the slumber parties that culminated in a marathon watching of "Labyrinth". That movie is pure '80's awesomness.
Are you sure that's supposed to be Prince and not Morris Day (who also was in Purple Rain)?
The power of vooddoo.
Who do? You do?
You remind me of the babe.
That movie! I can still quote it line for line, and inflection for inflection!
That first cake looks eerily like Morris Day of The Time, actually.
I think that's Morris Day, not Prince.
Regarding the first one: I don't appreciate my food giving me the stink eye.
The Wham cake reads they are celebrating the recipient's Birthday Eve. I'm going to start celebrating my Birthday Eve in addition to my birthday. More cake, more presents!
As a side note, the Boy George cake reminded me of the time my stepson said he wanted to be either Michael Jackson or Boy George when he grew up. Yikes.
BTW, before there was just George Michael, he was part of a duo called "Wham!" And before that there was a girl in the group and they were "Wham!U.K." Personally I think it was clever coming from a cheeky Brit!
The Prince cake looks more like Morris Day from "The Time". Remember? From Purple Rain?
Jareth!
:D
All I have to say is ... "Dance, Magic Dance!"
That first cake bears the likeness of Morris Day, who plays Prince's nemesis in "Purple Rain", and "Chop Chop Sexy" is one of his lines from the movie. It's actually a pretty good rendering, if you ask me. Here's a photo for reference:
http://1.media.tumblr.com/9gZ9kQASihlqdpoelU1goYFVo1_400.jpg
that's not Prince. That's the boyfriend of the girl Eddie Murphy was after in "Coming To America" He worked for that hair care company and thought he was fabulous. He'd love to see himself on a cake.
I think that cake is supposed to be Morris Day?
I agree, Prince looks more like Morris Day.
Oh, how I love the 80's!!
But that Prince cake looks more like Morris Day, Prince's arch-nemesis, to me!! What do you think?

Love your blog, Jen!!

The eyes on Prince, or Not Prince, really really freak me out.
I am in love with the Labyrinth cake. I started my girls early watching Labrynth, I can't have them going out into the big wide world uneducated!
Becky
THE FIRST CAKE IS EPCOTTTT!!!!
ANNE-MARIE
THE WRECKSISTANT
Wham it seems wrong to put a David Bowie cake in the same post as Prince, Boy George, and George Michaels...completely different leagues!
Raspberry puree!? Painfully funny!
WV: elapoutf - I can't define it, but I think I saw them in pink frosting dancing around a champagne bottle last week!
That's Prince cake looks like Morris Day from The Time! LOL
THE FIRST CAKE IS EPCOTTTTTTT!
ANNE-MARIE
THE WRECKSISTANT
What power?
The power of voo doo!
Who do?
Do what?
Remind me of the babe!
I look at that final one and all I can think is...well, pretty much what I think whenever I look at David Bowie:
"Take me to the drive-in and prove you love me!"
Mmmm...goblin king.
Sorry, it is Morris Day, and here's the proof:
http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l62/lacyegirl/Cake/
That's not Prince, it's Morris Day, and it's actually pretty good. I'll never understand how anyone could ever mistake Prince and Morris Day.
*gasp!* david bowie cake! eeee!
i would like to point out that it's not unreasonable for a 5 yr old to have a labyrinth cake like diddleymaz seemed to think it was. i mean labyrinth came out when i was, what 7?, and i thought it was the coolest.
Yay! The Labyrinth cake makes me so happy : ) I was hoping from the beginning that David Bowie would make it on the list, and it's nice to see he's not a wreck!
The hands on the BG cake are worrisome, but at least it's recognizably BG.
The Prince cake looks less like Price and more like a frightened 1950s backup doo-wop singer.
The David Bowie cake is pure awesomeness!
I don't think that's a Prince cake, Jen. I think it's Morris Day (from the Time and also starred in "Purple Rain.").
I think the first wreck may be Morris Day from The Time. Clearly still a wreck however...
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Labyrinth! Woe betide any who got to the video store before us on a slumber party night! But seriously, folks... "it's a piece of cake". ;-)
At least I am not the only one who thought the Prince cake looked like Morris Day. :D
From the Livejournal RSS Feed
The first cake is a very good likeness of Morris Day, and that is one of his lines from the movie Purple Rain. Was it supposed to be Prince and the cake person got confused?
"RAS-pberry puree.. ." is brilliant, even if I will have the song in my head for the rest of the day.
I would flip if someone got me the Boy George cake. OK, so he's gone off the deep end in the last couple of decades but back in the day I was a huge fan. I don't think it's that wrecky at all, you can tell who it's meant to be after all and that takes some skill.
The figure on that first cake looks more Thornton Reed from Darkplace than the Artist Formerly Known As. I can imagine Thornton yelling "Chop chop sexy" as well...
"Chop chop, sexy! This is from Won-Ton himself, and he's got a lawnmower, ya dig?"
Dance Magic Dance!
That Prince cake looks more like Morris Day from Morris Day & The Time - Prince's warm-up band who were also in the movie Purple Rain.
Are you sure that's Boy George? I'm thinking it's a male Flamenco dancer. Or something.
Angie (from over at www.HalfAssedKitchen.com)
The Wham! cake might have been better had they used the actual name of the group... it wasn't "Wham" it was "Wham!" To quote the illustrious Vanilla Ice:
That little bitty !. It's not the same!
It would have made the cake make more sense at any rate.
And i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks the Prince cake looks like Morris Day of The Time. OhEOhEOh indeed.
I think the second cake, while not looking much like Boy George (if it's even supposed to), looks better than the photo before it. Maybe the Wreckorator did it to save his sanity.
The Prince cake bears a striking resemblance to Morris Day of The Time fame... Anyone? Anyone??
I see Little Richard more than prince too, but either way it's a wreck. Raspberry puree had me laughing out loud!
What power??
Love it!!
Harley Quin, The group Cameo was actually led by Larry Blackmon. Morris Day lead the group The Time.
And that cake is definitely the spitting image of Morris Day. Still a wreck, but a good likeness.
Awwww, man! Now you have that song stuck in my head! "What power? The power of voodoo! Who do? You do! Remind me of the babe!" Bah... it's going to be a loooong day now. :)
My first thought too was "Morris Day". That's my final answer.
"ras-berry puree" .... LOL - you are awesome!
That's no wreck, that's Morris Day. An intentional Morris Day if I ever saw one.
1. Prince has some wonky eyes going on in that cake. They go in different directions.
2. Looks more like a Native American of some sort than Boy George.
3. As for Jareth, all I can say is "I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave." Yowza!!!
BEST CAKE EVER!!! I want a goblin king cake next year for my bday!!! :) amazing!!!!!
I'm sorry, but the David Bowie cake is probably the scariest cake I've ever seen...that's probably b/c when I saw Labyrinth as a child I ran screaming from the room.
Seriously, it scared me and I had nightmares about goblins for days...
Hopefully I won't have nightmares of David Bowie for days...
I LOVE the david bowie cake, I wish my parents would get me soemthing like that for my birthday.. Even though i am 18 already.. that movie is just so awesome.
That is SO Morris Day!!!!!!! Oh-ee-oh--ee-oh!!
LOVE THE GOBLIN KING! :)
You know, that first cake could be an homage to Morris Day and the Time - who was featured in Purple Rain, and could sort of be a round about tribute to Prince?
I got nothin.
I seriously HAVE to have a David Bowie Labrinyth cake. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie!
LABYRINTH CAKE!!!!! That's just pure awesomeness!
"It's a piece of cake." LOL
That's definitely Morris day from this picture: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_YAg9pGiqbQE/RhXKTjBPbqI/AAAAAAAABHU/tk1yrwEuHnw/s400/morris%2Bday%2Bwhat%2Btime.gif
The Power of Who Doo?
After reading the comments, I'm getting the feeling that the Prince cake is supposed to be someone else.
If only someone knew his name.
What power? :-)
I know someone already said that but LOVE that cake!!!!
That prince cake oooks like Morris Day (minus the time of course).
That's not Prince on the first cake...it's Billy Dee Williams! Anyone want a Colt 45? ;)
The George Michael cake is even more wreckalicious than you thought, Jen. Did you notice "Happy Birthday Eve"? I doubt that the cake was intended to be presented on the day BEFORE the person's birthday. Beware the missing comma!
What power? The power of voodoo. Who do? You do.
Oh, I love that movie. David Bowie was never cooler.
Regarding putting "Wham" into your sentences, have you seen the kids show on PBS called "Word Girl"? There is a bad guy on that show called The Whammer, and he substitutes the word "wham" for other words in his sentences all the time. It's hilarious! "This is so not wham." It reminds me of the Smurfs, when they would insert "smurf" into normal words. "That's smurftastic, Papa Smurf!" Etc. Etc.
Anyway, that was quite a tangent, but your George Michael cake made me think of it.
Also, the Prince cake looks more like Little Richard to me.
That Boy George cake is actually pretty sweet!!
Lol Morris Day @ 11:28- who IS that first cake supposed to be? I feel like, at least 80 people should know who that is, and not hesitate to let us know.
Thanks for the Raspberry song earbug. :op
They forgot the guyliner on Prince's right eye. Makes him look even creepier.
~Amy B.
i LOVE Jareth....hmmm i want that cake.... >:}
Oooooh, I love David Bowie! This has made my day!
Ok....I'm gonna make you all feel old by saying I have no clue who Morris Day is...or any other of the references really, but I do have to ask, what's with the googly eyes????
"She rocked out to Wham,
Not a big Limp Bizkit fan,
Thought she'd get a hand,
on a member of Duran Duran"
Oh great, I'm gonna have Bowling For Soup running through my head for ages now!!
W.V. fantram- Wouldn't it be scary if Boy George played the lead in the Fantram of the Opera?
Wham Jen have I told you lately that I love you? Wham your funny comments crack me the Wham up.
My 6 year old daughter would definitely be friends with Maddie. She, too is a big David Bowie fan (and also a fan of Madelines, which I see a big plate of in the background.)
I love David Bowie. Sigh.
I never saw the Demi/BG resemblance before. Thanks for freaking me out.
:) Alex
oh, and having recently viewed "Purple Rain" on cable during a late night insomnia bout, I'm about 99% sure that's supposed to be Morris Day. And it really does look like him IMHO, although I have NO idea what "chop chop sexy" means.
I like 20th the folks who said the first cake was probably Morris Day. That's the first thing that popped in to my head when I saw that cake. It also fits more with the text. Morris Day does, in fact, say "Chop, chop!"
The Babe with the Power! Love the labryinth cake! That's awesome!
Love the Labrynth cake. Finally I have found others out there who are true fans. Love you CW!
My family just randomly says, "You remind me of the babe..." during the day. I thought we were the only ones.
wv: phsound: the acidity of sound
The Labyrinth cake is AWESOME.
That said, there's even better news: there may someday be a sequel! WOOHOO!!! Check it out: "the final, crazy bit of news from Jim Henson's son is the studio's desire to return to the world of their cult classic Labyrinth. Henson described this idea by saying "Actually, we're talking about doing something different with Labyrinth but I can't really talk about it." The existence of such a film is highly contingent upon the success of Dark Crystal 2. This means get out there and watch DC2 at least a dozen times each and encourage your friends to do the same. And by encourage, I mean force."
http://www.cinematical.com/2006/05/06/brian-henson-talks-dark-crystal-2-fraggle-rock-and-labyrinth-2/
The Jareth cake *is* missing something... an enormous codpeice.
Oh please... don't pretend you didn't look.
the Prince on the Prince cake has a wonky eye and his mustache is growing out of his left nostril
Totally Morris Day IN Purple Rain. :)

www.xanga.com/crafttealady
Upon rethinking it, I guess the Prince cake could also be Jesse, or Jerome?
The amount I love that Labyrinth cake can't even be put into words...
Why is that David Bowie cake so great? It looks cartoony.
So, who did the awesome Labyrinth cake?
I'm surprised there is not a Madonna one! :)
Carrie of www.bellacupcakecouture.com
The more I stare at that Boy George cake, the more he looks like Rick Astley. I feel like I have been rickrolled by proxy...
I just watched Labyrinth again last night and the Jareth cake is awesome. :)
Probably my favorite movie of all time? Labyrinth. Think I'll go watch it right now!
The power of Voo-doo
Who do?
You do!
Do what?
Remind me of the babe!
*SQUEEEEEEEEEEE* I LOVE the Labyrinth cake!!! I want! :-P
Oh, how I wish I had that Bowie cake a few months ago when I did a project on Labyrinth in one of my classes!
"Hopefully I won't have nightmares of David Bowie for days..."
Those aren't nightmares. ^.^
"The Jareth cake *is* missing something"
Yes, yes it is, and if you're over 30 you looked for it. My first thought was "Pity that cake is for a 5-year-old...the best bit is missing".
What, you think every teenage girl in my high school was crushing on David Bowie because he could sing??? Please. :)
Wham! I love Labyrinth!
You remind me of the babe.
What babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do! Remind me of the babe.
Cake magic cake.
FINALY! Someone got it right..
The power of Voo Doo.
Who do?
You do.
DO WHAT?
...remind me of the babe.
And did I read it right that there is a DARK CRYSTAL 2???
gotta love the David Bowie cake. I bet her parents let her watch "School of Rock" over and over instead of Cinderella or whatever.
Sorry Jen - I must be living in a cave or something. I recognize the names, but that's it - this is the first time I've EVER said "boring!" to your blog. (And I'm sure it will be the last, too!!!!!)
Love the Labyrinth cake. My kids and I love that movie. And yes, I looked for the cod piece. Holy heck that thing was awesome.
I heard about the Dark Crystal II but never saw any promo for it.
It's hard to make fun of the way an artist renders a Boy George cake without making fun of who in their right mind wanted a Boy George cake.
--- shrug ---
Am I the only one who immediately thought of the "The Whammer" from Word Girl on PBS when Jen kept saying "wham" at the begining of her sentences?
The David Bowie cake is quite possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen on the Internet. Ever. Thank you, Jen for bringing it to the light!
Thanks anony for posting the link to the "Prince" cake! I was curious.
Also, I think Boy George is no wreckier than David Bowie...
Is it wrong that after all the wreckage displayed, I can only see the madelines in the Bowie photo and think of Marcel Proust. Anyone? Where my literary homies at?
Oooo...this is what I get for not reading the comments first, I see someone else must have little ones at home.
On yet another tangent...I really thought you meant Morris Day as in with the dancers and the bells in England...I was really confused until I read the comments. >.>
This blog makes me laugh out loud! I love it!
OMG! My friend's bday is this week, I need a duplicate of that David Bowie cake ASAP! :D Completely amazing.
"Ludo love Sarah"
And I love Labyrinth, and CakeWrecks!
I've actually been considering doing a Labyrinth cake for the next local cake show, to practice my sugar sculpting skills! Hope it turns out anywhere close to that cool!
The Jareth cake IS fabulous...
but...
there seems to be a candle right on the Fabulous Bowie Bulge. O_O
I really don't think the Boy George cake is all that bad, especially considering the subject matter. Now why someone would WANT a Boy George cake is another issue entirely. But I thought the Bowie cake was a little off, it looks more like Bon Jovi to me. And the first one that's no longer shown is a actually pretty good Morris Day, considering that it's non-pro!
Score! I saw this post first thing this morning as my daughter was looking at the site and I said, "That cake looks more like Morris Day than Prince." Of course, she had no idea who I was talking about.
I love, love, love Labyrinth. I love even more that you have the lines from the movies memorized. Your a cake goddess after my own heart. ;)
To those of you too young to get this post... Pbbbbt!
JK. :)
To those of you pointing out what is missing from the Bowie rendering, thanks for explaining why I love him.
I didn't think of that, it must have been subliminal.
:)
Alex
I'm confused. Other than being a Boy George cake, what's wrong with the Boy George cake?
Thank you so much for making my day! I LOVE Labyrinth!
Now I must go home and watch it. :)
Maybe my kids will fall in love with it like they did The Princess Bride.
as you wish....
Power of voodoo...
Who do?
You do!
Do what?
Remind me of the babe!
Okay, I'm done.
P.S. If you want to see a replica of the Bog of Eternal Stench, go to Yellowstone and see the Mud Volcano area. Not kidding.
Okay, NOW I'm done.

*A-HEM*
I beg your PARDON?? Bowie's sound was everything! 1969 was the year to end all years. Woodstock. Space Oddity. I could go on (don't fret- I won't).
If you weren't a teen in the 60's or 70's, you missed EVERYthing!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Now, as for Cake "David"... I think it/he looks more like Meg Ryan, or maybe Cyndi Lauper, than Bowie... but whatever.
Boy George as cake (Mike, is that YOU?) looks like an Amish schoolboy with latent Rastafarian tendencies.
The "Wham" cake is only half of Wham! so I guess that's a Bargain Bin cake. Notice that a big chunk of icing is stuck to the side of the box? Bummer, huh?
I'm a sad panda... I wanna see the picture of Epcot!
You remind me of the babe.
What babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of the babe.
Ah.... love that movie. Still quote that all the time!
You remind me of the babe
(What babe?)
Babe with the power
(What power?)
Power of Voodoo
(Who do?)
You do
(Do what?)
Remind me of the babe
I SOOOOO want to watch that movie again now, lol
Are you sure that is meant to be Boy George? I think it looks like a fantastic wealthy Bolivian llama farmer.
Goblin king! :D There isn't an emote with a smile big enough to express my glee.
*Dance magic dance magic dance...*
I had to work late today and now I've missed my chance to see the Prince/Morris cake. Waaaah. Amateur decorator, won't you please give permission to put your cake back up.
I was (still am) madly in love with George Michael back in the Faith days (I was in 3rd grade). I used to kiss my life-size, full-length George Michael poster. I had every Wham! tape. My mom made me a cheesecake for my 10th birthday with pictures of George Michael glued to toothpicks. It rocked. I would have loved a George Michael cake like the one shown here, whether it be on my actual birthday or my birthday eve.
ahhhhh 'ello!
Labrynth fans every where! Fabulous!
David Bowie! Insane 80's makeup! Labyrinth references!
Please excuse me, I have to listen to Magic Dance.
"You remind me of the Babe."
"What Babe?"
"The Babe with the power."
"What power?"
"The power of voodoo."
"Who do?"
"You do."
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the Babe." : )
David Bowie!! David Bowie!! Guess what I want on my birthday cake this year now?!
Aw I just KNEW you'd love labyrinth! YAY!
I'm going to send a link of this post to my aunt, my cousin will be 3 in November and I'm sure she would love a Labyrinth cake. Or at least the rest of the family would...
Thanks, Jen, you started off my day with a sparkle of happiness. And now I need to check iTunes for songs from the Labyrinth soundtrack.
Take down the mention is we can't see the cake.

Gosh..I don't know what a Bolivian llama is, but I Googled your everday "llama" and it seems that they go for somewhere between $2,000 and $3,500 apiece in general...
Not bad, but not really enough to consider farming them a "goldmine" job, either...
Personally I'd go for the Alpaca--they're in the same family, but go for a LOT more, for some reason (about the price of a luxury car for the females).
And I guess Bolivians can do it as well as anyone...
=^--^=
Honestly I think WHAM as a word is making a comeback. And yes labyrinth rocks.
Frankie says Relax!
Mr Michael looks like a werewolf in that cake..
Way to go with the reference to Bowling for Soup! :)
I don't care if it was Prince or not - your "raspberry puree" quote was pure-e genious!
You are so stinkin' COOL for liking Labyrinth.
My brain is now full of that song. "The power of voodoo who do you do remind me of the babe...."
I love David Bowie!!! I want that cake for my birthday. *going to watch Labyrinth*
I love the Labyrinth Cake
Ok I went searching and found this Labyrinth cake:
http://coloradosprings.yourhub.com/Powers/Stories/Family-Friends/Photos/Image.axd?imageid=316359©type=2
By the time I got here today -- sorry been putting out IT fires since 5:00 am PDT -- the Prince cake was gone. But, I will assume it was a life-size 9X13 sheet?
Dude I am all over the George Micheal cake.We share the same birthday...........freaky that i know that; but when I was 13 and I discovered this fact I told everyone. And now I am strangley telling you..........:)lol
Hi! *waves* Long time lurker, first time commenter. Your website is on my 'daily check-list'!
I just had to stop by and say two things.
1) *bows to the awesomeness of the Labyrinth cake*
2) I'm really hoping that this post means that your e-mail will soon be flooded with more of them!
Must scamper off now and throw on my Labyrinth DVD... or my original-issue VHS... or perhaps the soundtrack on CD... or maybe the record...
The Boy George cake is actually not all that bad. Aside from the fact that it is Boy George, of course. And the yellow sprinkles. I'm voting 'not a wreck' on that one.
Totally not fair removing the picture of the Prince/Morris Day cake, but leaving in the description and all the comments.
SHOW ME THE CAKE!!!!
Darn it, now I'm going to have to pull out my Bowling For Soup because that song is going to be stuck in my head all day!
Jareth on a cake is a great idea but I'm not sure about this example from that angle.
To all the haters of the Bowie cake:
It may not be a piece of cake magic, but its BOWIE! And that is good enough for me.
And even catching up again today, every time someone posted the Dance Magic lyrics I sang right through them. Never gets old!

Umm.. Wham! was George Micheals' first band. But you knew that..right? Right? Please say you knew that!
Man, I'm sorry I missed the Prince cake. Was it purple?
For those who missed the "Prince" cake, as Anonymous said, it can be found here: http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l62/lacyegirl/Cake/
What babe? The babe with the power. What power? The power of the voodoo. Who do? You do. Do what?
LOVE LOVE LOVE Labyrinth!!! Jennifer Connelly before A Beautiful Mind....bliss.
ZOMG! Return to the Labyrinth vol. 3 just came out and I'm on a total Labyrinth fangirl binge right now (if you thought Jareth was yummy in the movie, wait 'til you see him in bishounen form!).
That Jareth cake is le awesome! SQUEE!
I love the Labyrinth!! My husband got me the movie for Christmas!! That is a great cake, I would be happy to get it for my birthday.
Oh, the Bowie cake is ADORABLE!
I'd love one for my upcoming (eeek, 41st!!) birthday! :-D
The Prince one looked more like Morris Day.
the power of the voodoo!!!!!!!
one of my fave movies *ever*...i so wish this was my cake!!
The labyrinth cake is creepy to me because the goblin king was after the girl thru the whole movie...and the cake is for a 5 year old...very unsavory/distasteful and Boy George and George Michael...??? Same goes although the BG cake is well done !
How about a book signing in Northeast Florida ???
I NEED THAT DAVID BOWIE CAKE!!! I totally have Jareth The Goblin King on a T-Shirt... and it's my favorite. Now I have "Dance Magic, Dance" stuck in my head.
BTW,
As a parent of 5 kids in the "Labyrinth Generation" I kind of regret letting them watch that movie so many times...who do, you do, Voo Doo, the power of the babe ? Oh, crap ! What HAVE I done ????
And a sequel ? All five will be buying tickets as soon as it hits ( and taking THEIR kids to see it too)
What power?!
Who do?
Do what?
You may already know but if you like Bowling for Soup check out Butch Walker - he produced one of their albums and has some fantastic and entertaining lyrics.
Will I be banned from this blog if I admit that I have never even heard of Labyrinth?
The Boy George cake isn't that bad, although I keep seeing Emma Thompson dressed AS Boy George.
And while I was never a big fan of Labyrinth (I was into the Muppet and John Hughes movies myself), it's nice to see something a little different on a kid's cake than the princesses and cars and Spidermen and frogs that look like aliens.
"The power of voodoo. Who do? You do?"
The Labyrinth cake just made me want to go buy that movie again, so I can show it to my kids. Love it!
Oh how I love thee, David Bowie. You will always make women swoon in Labyrinth as you dance around in those spandex pants, mmm mmmmm.
The David Bowie Labyrinth cake is pretty awesome.
A Labyrinth cake...now I really HAVE seen it all!
