Uh, you DID know there's a book, right? Because you've already pre-ordered your copy like a good Wrecky henchperson, right?
Well, even if you haven't purchased a copy I hope you'll come say hello (and then purchase a copy). It's not that I'd mind eating all the cake myself (did I mention there'll be cake?) and doing the Q&A with just John (and that John's coming?), but frankly, Andrews McMeel might. So please, block out these dates on your calenders now, and then buy any necessary plane tickets to get you there, because with today's plethora of transportation options I am NOT accepting "it was too far away" as an excuse. (Hey, if I have to get on a plane...)
Ok, ok, just to sweeten the deal further: How about a contest? And even better, one in which no talent is required and you get to eat the results?
Yep, in a nutshell: just make a Wreckplica of your choice...but the catch is, it has to be on a cupcake. This is both to keep the entries a manageable size, and (bonus!) just to screw with you. The crowd favorites will win fabulous prizes, which admittedly I haven't decided on yet, but believe me, they're going to be fabulous.
There will also be cake for everyone (bakers, if you'd like to volunteer your services in your city, let me know), so rest assured you will be leaving with a sugar buzz even if you don't bring an entry - but you still should anyway, so that those of us with icing in our hair don't mock you.
Ok, now that I have you positively salivating with anticipation, here's the schedule:
Borders (Winter Park)
Tuesday, September 22, 5PM
(NOTE: This will be my first public appearance EVER. So let me apologize in advance for doing the entire Q&A with a barf bag strategically placed on my lap.)
Portland, OR
Powell’s Books
Friday, September 25, 7:30 pm
Seattle, WA
Third Place Books
Saturday, September 26 6:30 pm
San Francisco, CA
Copperfield's Books (Petaluma)
Sunday, September 27 2:00 pm
Denver, CO
Tattered Cover Bookstore (Historic LoDo)
Tuesday, September 29 7:30 pm
Chicago, IL
Barnes & Noble (Old Orchard)
Thursday, October 1, 7:30 pm
Dallas, TX
Legacy Books
Saturday, October 3, 2:00 pm
Austin, TX
BookPeople
Sunday, October 4, 3:00 pm
Kansas City, MO
Barnes & Noble (Oak Park)
Monday, October 5, 6:00 pm
(NOTE: Yes, technically this is not in Missouri; it's in Kansas. I think these are listed by the closest major city, if that helps explain it any.)
Bethesda, MD
Barnes & Noble
Tuesday, October 6, 7:00 pm
New York, NY
Barnes & Noble (Greenwich Village)
Wednesday, October 7, 7:30 pm
I should mention that this tour started out with only 5 stops, and has grown to what it is now partly due to your exuberant responses on Facebook. So if you feel that some crime of omission has been committed here, by all means, tell me in the comments.
I'd also like to apologize to my international readers, since as you can see this tour is limited to the U.S. Given my dislike of flying in general - and long flights in particular - I have a hard time feeling TOO bad about this, but I am sorry I won't be able to meet all you lovelies in Australia, the UK, Japan, etc. We may try to stream one of the Q&A sessions online for you, so stay tuned.
And finally, if you think you might join us at one of the venues above, please RSVP - even if it's with a "maybe" - by clicking on the city name. This will help us figure out how much cake, prizes, chairs, etc. to have on hand.
Thanks, guys! I look forward to meeting many of you soon!
UPDATE: WOW. Thanks for the frenzied amount of feedback - I knew I could count on you Wreckies to speak your mind! Just remember that *I* am not the one booking this tour, so no accusing me of hatin' on the southeast/northeast, Ok? And rest assured, the powers-that-be are reading your comments here, so I for one have faith that - no matter what happens - I can always blame the outcome on them. :D

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 827 Newer› Newest»Jen, if you're going from Dallas to Kansas City, you COULD make a stop in Oklahoma City! I mean, you'll pass right through it!
Boston!!!! Where is Boston on the list???
We wish you were coming to Boston! The Harvard Square Bookstore or Porter Square Books would be excellent spots for you. Esp the Harvard Square Bookstore's monthly Winedown event -- it's usually is in conjunction with a food related book.
another vote for Hot-lanta (aka Atlanta)
We'd love to see you in the REAL South.
Keep up the funny...no pressure!
Nice. Powell's in Portland is the best book store on the face of the earth. Make sure you explore it a little, it's awesome.
I can't go though :( I'm going to be in germany, but have fun! Portland is great. I hope you have a little bit of time to check out the city.
So Cal stop please?
Preferably San Diego, but hell, I might drive to LA for this.
What?!? No Spokane, Grand Island, Duluth, Pueblo, Mobile, OR Roanoke?!?! I can't believe it!!!
Relax folks, the tour for book #2 will be much bigger!
Congrats guys, I am so proud of you!
Becky
Come to Atlanta! We're a major city, we love cake (and Cakewrecks, we make fantastic cupcakes...it'll be a good decision, promise :)
Boston, Boston, Boston! If they can send you to Portland and Seattle, Dallas and Austin, clearly you can do Boston in addition to NYC. Pleeeeaaaazzzzz, lovely publishers?
I am already planning my wreckie cupcake, and it would be rough having to transport it all the way to NYC.
You are going to Dallas AND Austin but can't make it to Houston? The fourth largest city in the US is too good for you, is that it? I'll come (with friends, I promise I have friends) if you make just one small little detour...
Why aren't you coming to Hawaii? If you're in LA it's only a 5 hour flight.
Don't make me write a whiny icing comment on a pineapple upside down cake.
you are the funniest person alive. I can't wait to give you a hand shake or an awkward hug/sob in Petaluma!!
Wish you were coming to Toledo, OH or Detroit...I'd be there in a heartbeat!
I might make Bethesda, MD but don't want to put my email out there. If I do make it, I will try to drag one or two people with me
Eowyn
HelLA obviously...
Keeping my request simple.
Please come to:
Davis Kidd Booksellers
Nashville, Tennessee
Atlanta loves you even if you aren't coming to see us! ;( Please please please come through GA! I want to make a cupcake replica.... :(
..and with that- all of us Canadians heave a collective sigh and sob into our moose skin blankets....
Hey, Jen, Oak Park is NOT in Missouri! It's in Overland Park, KANSAS! I know because I'll be there waiting for you!
Los Angeles may be pretty lonely without your presence.
P.S. I found it pretty appropriate that the captcha for my comment was "beers". See, alcoholism moves in fast!
Come to Atlanta pleeeeeease! I have the sudden urge to fit a letter of resignation on a cupcake.
Putting in a vote for the Detroit/Southeast Michigan area. We need funny cakes! And we have the original Borders in Ann Arbor. Heck, even Toledo, OH would do.
Amy
What about Ohio?!! PLEASE!! I'll even settle for somewhere within a couple hours of driving distance!
Add me to the list of folks begging for a stop in Richmond, VA. Pleeeease.
How about someplace closer to Central New York, there's more to love about NY than just the Big Apple, I promise!
us Cincinnatians would welcome you warmly :)
i just wish that you guys were coming to massachusetts!! New York, however awesome, is just too far of a drive for one day. :(
Hey, powers-that-be! I live 14 hours away from the *closest* city. But ATLANTA is only 2 hours away. Totally worth the drive. C'mon!
ATLANTA!
ATLANTA!
ATLANTA!
Salt Lake City, UT
Monday, September 28?
It's already in between San Francisco and Denver and you have an extra day for it!
Another vote for Atlanta!
I vote for Houston!
Woot! You're coming to Dallas on my birthday; which is really convenient since I live in the Dallas area, not convenient that we're moving to Oklahoma in September! I may have to make a special trip back for this.
Oh my goodness! You're not coming to New England!! Specifically Rhode Island =) Have a blast on your tour though and I hope to see the next round!! ~Karen
What about Boston?
We need you to come down to Lake Charles, LA! We're always left out because we're the "little city," even though we're Louisiana's fifth largest city!
We've got a GREAT Books-A-Million in town!
I know people love your blog . . . and at the bookstore is where you find people that love this stuff!
First of all, CONGRATS!
Second of all, are you SURE you don't wanna take a trip down to the fabulous Florida Keys (c'mon, we're in the same state!) and have a nice vacation and an impromptu signing in the Key West Borders? ;3 I know I could talk my manager into it...xD
I'm just kidding. But seriously, BEST OF LUCK on your tour, and I promise to make sure lots of customers buy it when it comes out. ;D
word verification: mucha - I'm mucha excited for the Cake Wrecks book!
You should come to Atlanta! We love cake!!
As a resident of Ky, I would happily accept a stop in Ky, Tn, Va, Wv, or Oh. See how reasonable I am? :)
Philadelphia loves cake too!!
Come to Cincinnati!
Sorry, that sounds like a command.
Please, come to Cincinnati. Better?
I'm gonna second Suzyhomemaker's suggestion Nashville or Louisville! I live in Knoxville, so neither would be too far for me to drive!
Jen! You need to come to Phoenix!
Come to Houston, TX!! It's in between your Dallas and Austin stops so it's not out of your way at all! Plus it's the 4th largest city in the USA so you're bound to get a huge crowd of fans!
This baker will bake for your Seattle visit. Let me know the details.
Hi! Love the blog! I'll be at the Austin date since I'm already there for Austin City Limits! Cake and concerts.....hooray!
Nashville
DAMN DARN DANGIT....
I used to live within WALKING DISTANCE OF THE BORDERS BOOKSTORE IN WINTER PARK (Orlando).
This may be the first (and last) time I've regretted my decision to move to South Dakota.
Since I don't want you to live with that guilt of making me regret my choice to relocate, I'll offer you a deal. Cancel Kansas City, re-book it in Omaha, NE. That cuts it down to a manageable 3 hour drive for me and only a 3-4 hour drive north of Kansas City (making it manageable for anybody in KC who is REALLY a fan) and it's still a big enough city that it's worth your time.
Right? RIGHT???
Come on, KC people....I've got to drive 45 minutes just to go GROCERY SHOPPING, and I don't even want to discuss what I've got to go through to buy the specialty dog food my friggin' allergy-prone dog has to eat. Cut me a break, for once....tell Jen and her Powers That Be that you'll eagerly drive up to Omaha just so us Dakotans can have a chance at seeing her too :).
Word verification? "cessenth"
As in, "This is probably the cessenth time I've got to miss something I'd really like to catch, just becuase people tend to forget that South Dakota exists." Show some love for the rectangle states, for crying out loud!!!!
(WAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!)
Pretty please come to Philadelphia! The City of Brotherly Love needs wrecking, if you ask me.
Charlotte, NC! Or if I have to, I could make the drive all the way to atlanta! But at least somewhere in the general vicinity!
-Cara
Any love for Hawaii? We neeeed you!
Kit.
Too bad you can't come to Canada, I'm a HUGE fan (from Ontario :( ) and even though I BEGGED my parents (literally, I got down on my hands and knees) to take me to NY or something, they said no. WAAAH!
Note: I'm not blaming you, I'm just commenting...
Thanks for the awesome Wrecks over the years, though!
PS: My parents are Star Trek fans too!
omigoshomigoshomigosh your coming to Portland. I'm beside myself and all a-quiver. I might embarrass myself. Now I have to see if I can choose one cacke above all the lovely wreckiness to make my wreckplica of.
EEEEEEE!
I love you.
Boston maybe?!
You know, we really love our cake up here in AK. :) A visit here would be well received.
waaaaaaaah! you're not coming to Atlanta! waaaaaaaaah!!!!!!
Oooooh YAY! I work about a mile away from your first tour stop (Winter Park, FL) so I'll be sure to drop in!
BAAWWWWWSTIN! ;-) Yeah, lots of other people have said "Boston" too, but do they WORK at Barnes & Noble? 'Cause I do...
Hey!!! What about us up in the Boston/Providence area?!?!? Don't we deserve some Wrecky love too?
5 words: COME TO LOS ANGELES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please please please please please come to Orange County, Southern California! It's beautiful year-round, PLUS we have Disneyland AND Knott's Berry Farm. I'll even take San Diego or L.A. (Sea World, Hollywood, what's not to love?)
I'm lucky I'm moving to Seattle in Sept.! Yay!
Maria
You need to come to Boston! Pleeeaaase? We love you in Boston!
Here's another vote for Minneapolis/Saint Paul. The Mall Of America has a Barnes & Noble right on a large open space called the Rotunda, and they have hosted many a popular author/book series. Alton Brown, Harry Potter releases, local authors, and more -- it's a great place for a book party.
(First time commenter, long time reader!)
WV: feabi -- 'But we're coming to Chicago is a feabi(l) excuse because Chicago is an 8 hour drive away!'
Another vote for Los Angeles! Please! It really is a glaring omission of the tour schedule. We are the home of Falker Satherhood. Come on!
My mom and I started crying when we saw that you aren't coming to Phoenix! Anyways, have fun on your tour!
You know that pre-ordering makes books look less popular in the ratings? I heard this from an author - what we need to do is everyone order it ON the release date and it rockets into the best sellers.
Ummmm... THE SOUTH?
Texas doesn't count!
South Carolina would be a decent compromise for NC and GA folks.
Hope my wreckplica doesn't get ruined on the train ride into NY! but I wish the tour was coming to someplace closer...*cough*philadelphia*cough*
I have some ideas for my wreck cupcake but I can only follow through if you add Nashville, TN to your tour. How 'bout "the powers that be"?
I'll be in San Fran!
Please, please, please, PLEASE!!!! come to Michigan! I don't think I can convince my Hubby we need to drive to Chicago...
But, I have just over 2 months to convince him. :-D
The South always gets the shaft!! Come to New Orleans!!
you should stop in st. augustine after orlando!
I'm also bummed that you won't be making a stop in Southern California.
It was especially disappointing after reading about the wreckplica contest. I was already planning my cupcakes...
Michigan is pretty awesome. We need you and all your cakie-goodness!
If you need a cake or anything in Orlando (Winter Park), let me know. You can get me by leaving a message on my (amateur) cake blog (off my profile).
I don't doubt it's already been said, but, PHILLYYYYY!!!!
You're going to have to make a concert tour-style t-shirt with all the locations and dates on it if you actually take all the suggestions people are throwing at you.
GASP! What about CANADA?!?!?! It could in theory be within driving range, I mean Toronto is a big place... and so is Kitchener Waterloo! I mean, the birthplace of the Blackberry! How could you NOT come visit us here!
Come on down to the South in Jackson, Mississippi! We have great iced tea and hospitality. ;) Please, powers-that-be, let Jen and John visit us!
You need to come to Las Vegas, NV! We're looking forward to your book!
INDIANAPOLIS!!!
'Nuff said. Chicago is a bit too far although if Indy never gets booked I might take a day trip with my roommate, a fellow wreckie!
wv: Eness: Eness why I would love to see you come to Indianapolis.
CA is surely big enough for a second stop? LA? San Diego?
..canada.. more specifically.. toronto area.. ;)
Please come to Athens, Georgia!
LOS ANGELES!!
Hey - how about Nashville!!!!
Long Beach! Come on, California is a big state, especially since it's kind of long and narrow, relatively speaking. [cough] San Francisco's a great city but it's like 400 miles away. :( Long Beach is great -- a thriving, renovated downtown (with a Borders on the south end of Pine, across from the convention center) and a diverse population and the beach right there where you could kick back after the signing. Come on, you know you want to visit! :D
Angie
Jen, Petaluma is not in San Francisco, it's nearly an hour north! Why aren't you coming to San Francisco itself?!? I'll try to make it up there...
Laurel
I second the Jacksonville, FL request as I nanny and can't drive to Orlando with the kids, but could totally take them to a book signing in Jacksonville! please, please, please, please, please, puuuuhhhhhhlllllllleeeeeeaaaaaaassssssseeeeeeeeeeeee?! I'll make a cupcake AND buy a book!
Tiffany
You must come to Boston since it is the only city with its own cake the Boston Creme Pie which is also a bit of wreck since it is misnamed.
Turn your national tour into an international one, with one short stop in Toronto. No flying necessary. We love you here too!
We'd love to see you in Minneapolis!
Why are you hatin' on Boston? We need you here!
*squee!*
Portland, OR
Powell’s Books
This brings me much joy. <3
...Which location? The one downtown or the one on Cedar Hills?
Not that I'm going to skip out if it's one or the other... It's just a question of cupcake transportation logistics.
Gah! I'm down in NC.
And I like cake.
And blogs.
And cake blog books.
This is just horrible news. Buuuut, *mumbles* I guess I can still buy the book.
Bethesda, MD on the day before my birthday? I am SO there! It's only 20 minutes from where I live.
And I'll be happy to bake the wreckiest thing I can think of.
c'mon, canaduh is hardly *international*, eh? we'll bus u around, 'kay?
Totally wish I could make one of these. I live in St. Louis, and while a trip to Chicago or Kansas City are geographically manageable, I can't do it with the schedule and finances of a college student. Maybe for the next book.
I'll add another vote for Des Moines, Iowa!
Let this be another vote for Ohio. The Books & Co at The Greene in Dayton is a very popular book tour stop. You definitely need to add that to your tour. :)
Jen, if you schedule a stop in Japan, I promise that I will get to Tokyo or wherever to see you AND bring a contest entry AND bring the cutest baby in the whole wide world for you to smile at.
So that means you're going to be coming to Ireland right... right?
Please come to Houston!
I am totally gonna try to be at the Orlando one! Right in time for my youth group!
Doire
Los Angeles Wreckie Henchmen love you best. Where's our stop?
A stop either in Minneapolis, or central Canada (ideally Winnipeg) would be awesome!!!
Poor UK... come by boat! It would only take a week or so.
Looking forward to your visit to Seattle. Might even do a road trip to harass you at Powell's in Portland. A trip there is always good. I can't wait to try making a fondant hand with death threat on a cupcake!
Congratulations on your upcoming book! If possible, I would love to attend a reading in the Boston area!!
PITTSBURGH WANTS TO BE WRECKED!!! Without doing any begging (pleasepleaseplease), I'd be super duper appreciative if you'd consider stopping in Pittsburgh (or some other PA city). I can promise you a small hord of just my friends alone, and each one of us would come with our own cupcake entry! Thanks either way; LOVE your blog!!!
I'm surprised there isn't a stop for Los Angeles.
Well, since you seem to have forgotten all about TN or the surrounding areas, the least you could have done was post a decent wreck post for today to ease my suffering. How rude of you. =(
Please visit us in Ann Arbor Michigan!!!!!!!!!
I would love to RSVP for the San Francisco/Petaluma event but it's not available on the Copperfield's website. :'(
No one EVER comes to Charlotte *pout*
Yay! Glad you'll be in the Bay Area, but Peta-freakin'-luma?
You need to have your publicist book your booty in Berkeley and the City.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Albuquerque New Mexico would love to see you! (At least my husband and I would definitely come!)
MASSACHUSETTS!! I'd even drive out to (gasp) Springfield.
There are a lot of cake wreck fans in New England. I'd be wiiling to drive anywhere! PLEASE!!!!
I have to agree that a "crime of omission has been committed" by leaving out Los Angeles. Come on...it's the second largest city in the US, you can't not come here! Please, please, please, please, please, please, please....
ok, I think that's enough shameless begging
Oh, hey! I didn't know there'd be a Texas location! And it's only a half hour away, too. Pretty sure I'll be able to get there.
It's too bad you're not going further south in California; I'll be out visiting my dad around that time, but that's a ten hour drive, so I'll just try to make Chicago as that's only a four hour drive and doesn't take up any Daddy and Me time. But you really should consider going to Columbus or Cincinnati, I can promise that they are great cities and would be happy to have you!
Uh, hello? Philadelphia? Anyone?
Or even better...delightful Delaware!!
Come to Salt Lake! We love cake, AND books... so win win win.
WAAAAaaaAAAAaaaa!!!! Please...PLEASE come to Salt Lake!! (Yes a drive to Denver is too far when you have twin babies.) But I could make Salt Lake and it would shorten the flight from CA to CO. I'll make a cupcake wreck even, I'll make a whole flippin' pan! Just please come!!
Please come to Connecticut!!!!! Pretty please??
Fargo, ND....don't leave out the upper mid-west!
I'm a loyal reader in Burlington, Vermont. We'd love to see you here! Nearby driveable cities are Plattsburgh, NY; Manchester, NH; Montreal; Boston, MA. Thanks for keeping us laughing!
Ok, ok, Fargo is a stretch with such a short tour, but come on, Minneapolis at least! :)
Phoenix!!!!
Seattle! So close!
And yet so expensive and another country away..
Alas, I won't be able to make it. I love taking the ferry over from Vancouver Island, but I don't like paying for it.
Finally!! Something I want to attend happening in Portland!! Everyone on the planet skips Pdx on tour. Hazzah!!
[geography nrrd = ON]
er.. Petaluma != San Francisco. Petaluma is an hour north of SF; it's North Bay. West of Napa, where snooty wine people go!
[geography nrrd = OFF]
Sorry to be all annoying and stuff since these types of threads tend to attract such comments (Y U NOT COMING TO MEEEEEE??) but, well, as a South Bay peep i got all excited 'cos i can hit the City via all sorts of public transit. But Petaluma? Notsomuch. i'm trying to curb my driving as much as possible 'cos gas costs 'round here are evil, so no can go for me :(
North carolina wants you - needs you! Please come. (Triangle area).
Now, if only i could figure out how to make a cupcake cake *on* a cupcake...
Please come to Phoenix! You'll be flying over us, so why not stop over?
We have lots of cake.
We'll see you in Portland!!
Can't wait!
xoxo
how about emiting the whole country of canada not like the big TO "toronto" is much farer the NY. sorry if i sound mad just tierd
What, no stops in or around Los Angeles? Inconceivable...you could squeeze us in right after San Fran, pretty please?
We would love you here in Salt Lake. =)
OH and grats on the tour!
Another vote for an NC stop!
Another plea for a stop in Atlanta!
Neener neener neener. Jen likes Texas best, clearly, because we get TWO stops.
See you in Dallas!!!!!
WV: all dem other cities be spion on your Texas love.
We Australian's forgive you for not flying over here to see us. Have fun on your cakewreck tour! Woo!
HEY! Vancouver, BC isn't THAT far from Seattle!
Actually, there's two Kansas City's, one in MO, and one In KA, and they're like ten seconds away from each other.
Cincinnati loves you! Obviously, since at least 5 other people posted it. Please come!
Come to Birmingham, AL! There's an awesome Barnes and Noble you could use. It's in a gorgeous shopping center called the Summitt, and the views from the bookstore are awesome. Please come!
You should come out to Las Vegas! After all this is the best city to be a tourist! And it's not far from CA so you could drive instead of fly. :D
~Stuck in Vegas
Boo! Everyone always tours Dallas and Austin but somehow Houston always gets ignored...
Wish you could come to Phoenix!!!!
I'd ask you to come to Raleigh-ish (Chapel Hill's awesomer, though) or the Norfolk area or even throw in a vote for Richmond if it's that or nothing, but then I'd feel bad if I couldn't end up making it (got small kiddos).
While I've got "you," or whoever's reading this for you, on the line, can I just say thanks love your blog read it almost every day. :)
Checking in from the apparently-we're-chopped-liver northern 'burbs of Philly.
Could you please add a stop in Philly or Princeton ... pretty please, with a baby carrot jockey on top?? Land of cheesesteak AND cheesecake - does it GET any better?!
My WV is "bumbl" - As in "If Jen does not include the Philly/P'ton metro area on her book tour, 'twould be an unfortunate bumbl on the part of her promotion team!!"
But no pressure or anything! ;-) (LOVE the blog - thanks for all of the smiles over the course of the past otherwise-very-crummy year!)
Jen-
I think your fans could keep you traveling for a year!
If you do a second book tour, come to Indianapolis! :)
It's 6-7 hours to San Francisco. Sure you don't want to come to the LA area? We have Diiisneylaaaand...
We'd love to see you in New Orleans! We're a food mecca as it is...bring some wrecks to add to the variety!
you should stop in Houston, TX, or more specifically the north side of Houston (The Woodlands) I have sent your blog to so many of my friends that we could fill a bookstore... We love you here. besides it is the 4th largest city in the country... consider the amount of fans that have to be in the city just based on its size.
Come to Boston... I will bake a cake!
Boston, right after NYC, whaat could be easier?
BOSTON!!!!! Duh.
A Wrecky henchperson?
Ahem...I like to think of myself as a minion, thankyouverymuch.
p.s. Orange County, CA loves cake!
I vote for Atlanta too! Thanks!
Aw, and I would be moving to Hawaii in two weeks. To think I was so excited about moving to Hawaii...
Silly marriage, coming between me and cake...
I am pregnant, and due Oct. 4, so unless you come to Montgomery, AL, I'm gonna have to miss out. :'(
Another vote for Richmond, VA. Who knew so many Richmonders were Cake Wreckers?
You are coming to MY town, just a few blocks from where I live! Your good taste Cakewrecks is eclipsed only by your good taste in book tour stops.
Jody - Petaluma, CA.
I agree about the South! Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta or Tennessee!! One of these PLEAAAASEEEE
I'd love to be there to support you! and eat delicious cake!
You know you want to come to the Minneapolis area at the end of your current dates! Pretty please!
Powers that be, why aren't you cakewrecking the *southeast!?!?! *Shakes fist while both rueing and lamenting the fact that all appearances are too far away!*
*Florida soooo doesn't count!
Forget what the President said and come to Las Vegas. We can round up all the Wreckies, put them all up at the Bellagio and write the whole thing off. It's your duty as an American citizen.
Davis-Kidd in Memphis. Please!
What about Indianapolis, IN? It's not a small town, you know. All of the major authors go to Chicago (and who wants their hair in complete disarray from the windy city?), but skip Indianapolis. We are a beautiful city with lots to offer and many deserving fans! Let's hear it for Jen and John coming to Indy!!!
Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Cincinnati!!!
Need I say more?
And we could hook you up with some seriously yummy goodies! Buckeye Cupcakes anyone???
Salt Lake City, please! The closest stops right now for me are 15 hours of driving away. I would happily drive 4 hours to Salt Lake City!
Looks like I'll ice you in for your Denver stop. Can't wait.
Albuquerque? :C
BOSTON BOSTON BOSTON BOSTON!
It's not that far of a trip from NY and will totally fix the "neglecting the northeast" problem you've got going on.
BOSTON BOSTON BOSTON!
Uuummm-where's ATLANTA on your itinerary??? Oh, I must have misread it - surely you couldn't skip ATLANTA, right??? I'll go back and read it again while I wait for my pre-ordered copy of the book here in ATLANTA!!!! You should be here too!
Salt Lake City would be AWESOME!! Believe me, you'd have a following. It seriously is right on the way to San Francisco. If not, Vegas is a great second choice. Also, a shout out to my native land...you gotta have an LA stop. For reals.
You're actually coming to Kansas! I'm shocked and hope I can make it!
Los Angeles!!! Puhleazeee.....
Ummm. You might want to suggest to the people booking that you get another, more downtown Chicago date. Since two months away you already have 60 definites and 90 maybes, which would pretty much kill the store. Those are like, Harry Potter release numbers.
Also, anyone IN Chicago proper can't even get there by public transportation, which is why I can't come. A lot of people in major cities don't drive at all, so probably a ton of fans won't make it at all for that reason.
What about AZ!!!!???? :o(
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come to Phoenix! Arizona Adores you! my friends and I know our town is too small but will fill a bus and drive to Phoenix if you add it to your tour!
Oooh, SO unfair! I used to live an hour away from Portland, OR.
But now I live in Australia. :/
Come oooonnn, the flight isn't THAT long. Er...15 hours isn't THAT long, right?
Aussies love Cake Wrecks, too, ya know! Sydney's a great town! You'll forget the flight the instant you step off the plane! And other convincing stuff too!
I was hoping to see you in Minneapolis! I promise to bring my friend's baby wearing her Mohawk Baby Carrot Jockey onesie we made for her, as well as a cupcake.
I would love a stop in NJ, you know, closer than NY, preferably South Jersey! :)
How can you not come to Los Angeles??? :'( Lol
I can't believe you will make Austin and Dallas but not Houston!!! I am heartbroken. We are the 4th largest city in the US, so next tour you have to make it here.
Please please please come to Los Angeles!
BOSTON! Pllleeeeeaaaassssee? Please? Please? Please? With sprinkles on top? How about if I add airbrushing and drunken clowns, too? Say yes?
If not Beantown, how about Manchester NH (close to Vermont, Mass, Maine, and Canada) or Portland Maine? ANYWHERE in New England! And if not that (*sigh* with big puppy dog eyes), I'll go with the vote for ATLANTA, Ga. I am willing to make a third trip down there this year to see my mother if it means I could attend your event. See the sacrifices we'll make? You have FANS! -WM
HAHAHAHAHA PETALUMA = SF? HAHAHAHAHAHA
yeah. I know it's listed by "major city". But this and the whole "Kansas/Missouri" is making me seriously doubt the geography/marketing skills of your publishers. The total pop. is less than 60k! Even my tiny collegetown of Davis is bigger!
Anyways thanks for getting my hopes up that I might be able to add this on to an already scheduled SF trip (to ACTUAL SF) and then smashing them to bits with your complete lack of understanding what constitutes "SF", book tour people. Sheesh.
Oh. My. Cakewreck.
YES!
Definitely planning my cupcake wreck.
*Laughs evily*
You forgot L.A.!!!
And September 29 is my birthday too :,[
But oh well, I'll just have to wait for my book.
Hurrah!
I wish you'd make a stop in New Jersey after New York. You'd be surprised how many Rutgers students adore CW.
Please try to stick a stop in Southern California! Thanks!
Ahhh! I've been following your blog for quite a while now, and am so excited that you're coming to Seattle! And you're only a half-hour bus ride away. You're on my calendar for sure.
Show Boston some love!
Philly!!
Oh sweet, I live in Winter Park. I'll have to brave the bus system to get there, but I'll try my best!
how about Freehold NJ Borders???? Its a huge 2 floor borders at the very awesome and super posh Freehold Raceway Mall! All the famous people make stops. We had Rachel Ray, Paula Dean, Jodie Piccoult, Stephanie Meyer, ...if you get hungry theres a PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory a few feet away and a bitchin foodcourt! And the soup Nazi restaraunt too.
