What's a Wreck?
What's a Wreck?
A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

order
Where's the book?
We don’t have any copies of Cake Wrecks for sale here, autographed or otherwise. We decided the shipping and handling costs would be too high to make it worth your while. So instead, buy your copies locally or online and then order personalized bookplates: it’s cheaper, easier, and I think even looks a bit nicer.
Ordering Info
Payments must be made through Paypal, which accepts all major credit cards. Sorry, but that means no checks or MOs or barter-based chickens.
We ship everything first class USPS, and will do our best to have your package in the mail within 2 days of your order.

I don't mean to be a hater, because I love your blog, but I'd want someone to let me know: You spelled "refrigerator" wrong.
Congrats on the interview!
I just noticed that your blog still says you were nominated for a Blogger's Choice Award. If they don't give you a new graphic listing you as a WINNER you should create one! We all know it's only the losers who say, "It's just great to be nominated." ;) If you make your own I vote for a huge, gaudy gold medal, preferably with typos on it...you know, an Award Wreck.
OMG! I love AZ and am so stoked that you were on there! WTG! BTW...I'm a total slut to your site...I'd do anything to read it! LOL
Wow--how neat ! Come on, Bertolli frozen bags of pasta are not that hard to cook for supper in the microwave. I even add a bag of frozen broccoli for even more veggies. But, thanks to you, I smile when I eat muffins for breakfast---'cause it is cake !
Very nice!
I'm still hoping for a stint on either Leno or Letterman !!!
thats pretty much amazing! I love his show!
Congrats on more deserved recognition. It's all about the humor, lady, not the craptastic cakes. Okay, it's about the cakes. But you make them extraordinary funny with your commentary.
Heather,
Aw, dang it! I need to have a little memo on the side: "XX Days Since Jen Made a Spelling Error." I think I was up to at least 10 there... (days, not errors!)
Thanks for the correction - although I still want to know why "fridge" has a "d" in it but "refrigerator" does not. I love our language, I really do.
Oh, and C. Beth - if you make me a shiny gold medal graphic, I'll put it up. Apparently the BCAs don't give out "I won!" badges - so sad. :(
Jen, Congrats on another awesome interview. Please tell me you weren't lying about all of your past jobs. Oh, and for some reason, I thought you were Canadian.
Sorry if I sent this twice.
Jen - I'm sorry to go off topic, but I wondered if you could have a discussion sometime soon of "cake balls." I have recently become aware of these frightening things, and after a posting on Pioneer Woman today, I am now feeling quite ill just thinking about them.
It's a boxed cake mix, cooled then crumbled up, and a jar of frosting mixed in. Rolled into balls then frozen, then dipped into icing and decorated. Ick, right? I've never actually had one, but it just sounds. so. wrong. Right?
Congratulations! You deserve the press. Love your site. I agree with c.beth...you should have a new WINNER badge from Blogger's Choice.
You go girl!
Way to go! That's a nicely done interview between you and our Andrew (I claim him as I am from Minneosta and my seestor has met him on several occasions).
I need to tell you - I love your site and I have this need to order a cake with "under neat that" on it for the next birthday party I bring a cake to!
very nice interview - you come across very intelligently in spite of the now-corrected spelling error earlier... :)
That is crazy cool!
Can a book deal be far away? A Wreck book would be my favorite Christmas gift to give!!
Oh, big deal! Refrigerator was spelled wrong! We still love you, Jen! It's all about the cake anyway!
No way! Congrats on the big-time interview. I love his show. :)
actually, I'm sure you do know this, but you DID NOT spell refrigerator wrong.
WOW, thanks to that comment by kikibibi, I'm now totally craving cake balls. I had no idea such a thing existed, and must have some. Immediately.
Awesome! congratulations!
Jen! You've hit the BIG time baby!! Andrew Zimmern. How cool for you! Great interview too.
My friend will SO kill me for doing this to her...BUT in the spirit of Halloween...She & Her husband had to make sugary treats for the office parties.. Please go to her blog & see the picture of the "kitty litter cake" SERIOUSLY! It is the funniest thing EVER. I got her to send me the "makeup" of this so I can make one tomorrow to mess with my hubby.
Go to http://blackbettysbizkits.wordpress.com/
The post title is "Kitty litter, punkins, and bloody ghosts"
I think its wreckworthy :) heh! She will KILL me now. I know it.
Oh my gosh, I ADORE Andrew Zimmern. Lucky you! Did you get to talk to him directly? :-D
LUCKY!! GHEEEZ!!!

Great interview! I love your blog.
You're gettin' famous! Congratulations on the interview.
kikibibi...Really? I think they sound like heaven, plus I just like to say cake balls.

Loved the interview! I saw one of those spider cakes at wal-mart yesterday and thought of you!
you are officially my idol since you were a skip on the jungle cruise. i suppose it was at WDW, but one of my dream jobs is to be a skipper on the disneyland jungle cruise. ^-^
That's totally unexpected to have this blog on that site but it was fun to read it!
congratulations on the interview, I just wish it was with a different person. I have such a loathing for that person that I have problems expressing it. Everything about him seems to grate on me.
I loved reading your interview. And your in Orlando like MEEEE, now I can stalk you:)
Always a great blog.
A Jungle Cruise Skipper? Jen, are you a former Cast Member? That would explain so much. I tend to think Disney employees (especially attractions) have a lot of...personality ;-)
