These are wonderful. The ornaments and the light would be great for a Tree Decorating party. The light cake maker needs to make one of a broken ornament.

And by the way, I'm also from Canada so I have to say "You find that 60 is chilly and it makes you think of winter? That was the average tempeture here last July!"

correct me if I'm wrong, but some of the elements on the Bumble look like fondant, so it's not entirely fondant free, eh? I love the light, simple ADORE the ornaments, but that little deer? OH MY GOSH, so sweet.. there's no way I could eat it!
There seems to be no bounds to a good baker's imagination and creativity! Wonderful cakes!! I think I enjoy the Sweets even more than the Wrecks.
As for 60 degrees, I grew up in FL, I know and understand what you mean!! Don't let all those cold, cold Northerners get you down!! It all depends on what you're used to. Go have some hot chocolate or a hot toddy...the key word being HOT.

60 degrees!?! We MIGHT get to 30F. today, but wind is 25 mph, so subtract 3 or 4 or 20 degrees! High tomorrow supposed to be 17! But no wind...

The last cake looks so awesome, but is that fork real or sculpted? Because if it's sculpted I can just picture a friend of someone who once put a fork into a light socket ordering that for them.

I know what you mean about the 60 degrees being cold! I'm in CA and I start being cold when it drops below 80. 60 has me shivering and hiding under the fleece blankets!
The last one was so good, I had to take a second to make the connection to the fork. It looked out of place until I remembered it was cake! Great job!

60F? Bwahahaha! Where I am, right now, it's gotten UP to 12! We're having an unusually early cold spell. I wish it would warm up some and snow.
To be fair, for most of my life I lived in places where anything below 60 was downright chilly. I get it. Trust me when I say one's standards of what is cold can change dramatically!

Cold weather - it's all relative. If you are used to 80 & up, 60 is cold. I say this as a Northerner who now lives in the South.

60 degrees is very, very warm! It's only 12F here in Denver, CO! Which is why I'm indoors reading this blog instead of out shoveling snow...which I should be doing.
Actually the weather here is quite appropriate for cold themed cakes. I love the first one, it's so pretty. They're all great though.
It WAS sixty degrees here a couple weeks ago-- now we have 20 degree highs and snow predicted this week. I hate that!
But I love that Bumble cake-- nuts and coconut-- like a big Almond Joy! These all look really cool, and I could get past the cuteness of that one to eat it, but not some of the others. I mean, if you've always been careful about not eating glass, well...just chew very carefully, that's all. :P

The abominable snowman is the cutest. I didn't care for the bulb and electrical cord. It's very well done, but I'm just not comfortable with putting an electrical cord in my mouth. I'm having visions of electrocution by cake, unrealistic as that may be.

In defense of John's reference to our "chilly" 60 degree weather here in Florida...it's all relative, people! After you survive living in a sauna all summer, 60 degrees feels downright cold.

Although you've had many comments about the weather, I thought I'd also add my 2-cents worth. I'm also in Canada and this morning I woke up to my radio telling me it is -38C with the wind chill. A little conversion and it ends up about -36F. 60F is t-shirt weather, -34F is go south for the winter weather! :)
I know it's been said, but little fawns (that's the word for a baby deer, folks) are born in spring, when the spotty patterns on their bodies mimics dappled sun through leaves, giving them excellent camouflage. I have seen fawns hiding near apple trees, where the falling apple blossom petals on the ground also camouflage them beautifully.
All that said, I do adore the fawn cake :)
I thought the last one was a hand grenade before I noticed the plug. I mean, sure, blowing things up is suitable for any time of the year, but man... talk about Grinchy...
