Redefining the Turkey Breast

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Warning!: The title is extremely appropriate.

YOU GUYS.

Check out this great rack!

I hear under wire support really is the best.

While it's tempting to milk these wrecks for all they're worth, I've decided to nip the puns in the bud with a more uplifting approach. After all, I'd rather bust a move than mend a pillow, you know? Or knock the highbeams off a Winnabago than scale the Grand Tetons. Or torpedo a honker than plant a My Little Pony. You feel me?

(Now, aren't you glad I got that off my chest?)

Ta-ta for now!

Thanks to Katie N. who makes two excellent points.

I don't understand making a cake or cupcake to look like a roasted turkey. Why?!

....what the? lol :P

Okay, I can handle a cake made to look like a roasted turkey. A roasted turkey with breast implants? Okay, this plastic surgery trend has GOT to stop - What next, naked carrot jockeys with botox and lip fillers

Ouch! You nearly put my eyes out with those things.

I think a wreckerator's turkey stupor and breast-not-thigh preference has really affected them badly! Seriously, pin-up turkeys??? But I guess it makes sense that there's "devil's food" cake in there!

Uhm..., well, the trouble you went to is still appreciated.

Wait... what about My Little Pony?

*confused puppy look*

Sandra said...

What's even more disturbing is that 4 of them are missing from the tray..... PEOPLE ACTUALLY BOUGHT THESE THINGS!!! Ugh, I despair of humanity sometimes.....

I don't know anyone who can pack more puns into a single sentence, Jen.

You came out with both guns loaded today.

Marie said...

It probably should be My Little Porny.

Makes me wish my turkeys were that perky.

A couple of jugs of milk to go with those 'cakes', anyone?

Thanks for the titillation, John!

Hey boys and girls, what time is it? Time to ban turkey cakes! Yay!

Why are people buying these? Why is there more than one for people to buy in the first place? Why is there even one?

Bevis & Butthead opened their own bakery near frat row. That's the only explanation I can see. Someone said they wished turkeys had more breast meat, and the rest is history.

One more thing: My Little Pony? Do we want to know the explanation? This could be the first Epcot in the form of a question.

All I can think is, "Why?"

Who? Who? I ask WHO? makes crap like this!?! Seriously!

Oh my! They kinda look like Hershey Kisses.
Hey Jen, have you heard about the Farmville Baking Contest? You've been mentioned several times in the comments.
There are some pretty awesome stuff being made. So far the only wrecky things I have seen have been the people who cant seem to understand that they are suppose to bake something in real life, in their real kitchen and not on their farm. Here's the link. http://forums.zynga.com/showthread.php?t=806228&highlight=dessert+contest

What disturbs me most about the picture is the fact that four of the turkey cakes are missing. I am assuming this means a few customers actually paid to take home one of these unpalatable oddities. Sad. Very sad.

Thank you for making my day.

Once again.

Wow! I submitted that! I thought nothing on the internet could make me squeal, but this is cool! Let me tell you, there was some snickering going on as we were standing in front of the cooler. I know people are horrified that people bought these, but what is even worse is what I couldn't manage to get a photo of- there were more. There were at least 2 more trays. Why? I don't know.

Anonymous said...

since they are on the bottom of the bird then they are in th wrong place to be breasts. see, the wings are at the top.

Craig said...

There were two more trays?! So these things not only sold, they were popular. Oy!

That's it -- we officially live in a class-free society.

I hope those cakes had better taste than those on either side of the transaction.

Cake Cop said...

A little bird told me that those turkey cakes flew off the shelf. Obviously, more than one person was super keen to gobble-gobble them down.

PS. I hope those are free-range turkey cakes, Baker!

at the risk of being banned: I wish I'd thought of this!! LMAO

They were trying to make turkey LEGS on the back of the turkey. They just happen to not look anything like legs, what with their pointy-ness and not-very-exact-placement. But the post was funny nonetheless.
