Okay. I'm sure you all get it by now: Chocolate icing, when squeezed out of a pastry bag, looks like poop. Always. Especially when it's filled with air bubbles. And nuts. And sometimes corn.
Which is why sometimes I
have to believe these wreckerators are messing with us.
I mean, c'mon, look at this:
I'm pretty sure I saw that topper in Spencer's gag-gift section.
Me thinks Mr. Hanky's been drinking too much Red Bull.
EXPLANATION FOR OLDER GENERATIONS: See, Mr. Hanky is a cartoon character made of [cartoon] poop. No, really. Yes, I know: kids these days. And Red Bull is an "energy" drink that they claim gives you wings, but they're lying, and someone should tell you that before you go and get your hopes up and order your "Super Jen" outfit with matching sparkle cape and steampunk goggles. For example.
Sometimes they try to confuse us by throwing in random flotsam:
Are those...shovels? Axes? Wait. Is this a pun?
Chopping a log? Oh, man, that is a new low, Wreckerators. Really. And for the love of lazy lumberjacks, WHY IS THERE A CHERRY ON TOP? This is NOT a "cherry on top" kind of moment!*
You know what really gets me, though? Over in Japan, where for some reason folks are
obsessed with poo, bakeries make cakes that are actually *supposed* to look like #2 - but you know what
those cakes look like? THIS:
That is seriously some of the cutest...
stuff...I've ever seen.
(Although the flies with bunny heads will be visiting my nightmares tonight.)But come over here to America, where ostensibly our bakeries do *not* make fecal facsimiles, and we get....this:
God bless America.
With a cherry on top.
(Seriously? Seriously?)
Thanks to Jen C., Kimberly W., Liz G., Kseniya T., & Mollie B., who are all Wreckies of excellent moral fiber.*Update from john: First of all, yes. We know. Secondly, WE HAVE AN EPCOT!!! Under your desks everyone! This is not a drill!

I need to keep this page bookmarked for when I feel like snacking. Perfect for losing one's appetite!
:::shudder:::
Pretty sure those are supposed to be yule logs.
I felt icky typing the word "logs" there.
-Anneke
This has got to be one of the best posts ever. While I always find CakeWrecks to be funny and entertaining, this was a spit-my-coffee-at-the-computer day.
Definitely a cherry on top moment.
Seriously.
Chris
Howdy ho!
Or
Hidey ho!
(depends on which source you use.)
Great blog. Thanks!
I think the ones with the ax & cherry were probably intended for Washington's birthday, though I can't understand why that holiday would be cake or cupcake worthy. *shrug* But I strangely get the whole chopping a 'log' (cherry tree) with an ax. Or am I giving the wreckerator too much credit?
Oh my gosh! Laughing my head off!!
Oh man, part of me wants to try and hunt down one of those poo cakes I've seen in town, complete with paper and flies! It's actually very delicious and incredibly rich, but still, it'd probably have gone well with this post!
I'm not sure what the last cake is supposed to be for, but the first picture with cherries is probably for George Washington's birthday. You know, supposedly he chopped down a cherry tree and then wouldn't lie about it. It still looks like poos with plastic in them, though.
I really, really want to see Jen with the sparkly cape and steampunk goggles. That would be beyond awesome!
Oh, and that last one? I'm glad I already had breakfast, because that was puke worthy.
Those cup cakes look like they are commemorating George Washington's birthday? Like cutting down the cherry tree? Props to the wreckerator for knowing their historic myths.
Poo cakes...as long as it isn't too realistic I'll still eat it!
My first thought with the log and ax ones was George Washington chopping down the cherry tree, maybe they're for Presidents' Day?
I think those brown blogs with axes were supposed to be branches of a cherry tree as in "Couldn't lie about chopping down a cherry tree". Lame, yes but I think that was it. Poo cakes, how about ewwww cakes :P
If you've never seen the blog SleepTalkinMan, you need to check it out. This guy in England says the weirdest (yes weirder than the wrecks) things and he really loves cake. Today's posting is about cake, check it out :)
http://sleeptalkinman.blogspot.com/
This was just a really crappy post. Not up to your usual nutty level of quality. It won't make me flush with pride to read it, nor is commenting today a pleasing duty.
I bet those log cupcakes are in honor of George Washington's birthday... you know, because he didn't lie about chopping down a cherry tree. Just my guess:)
It was all great... but I just lost it at "moral fiber."
Sure the "logs" aren't for George Washington's chopping down the cherry tree?
I'm thinking those "logs" with axes are supposed to be for Washington's birthday. You know, "chopping down the cherry tree" sort of thing. Still unappetizing, though. "Let's have poo cupcakes to celebrate Washington's birthday!!" Ick!
That poo butterfly is awesome!
I think those cupcakes are representing the chopping of the cherry tree, and they are in honor of Washington's birthday...
I sent someone today to look at this post and said "Please explain to me why I am not a professional cake decorator" after looking at these. Holy cow.
Guessing the ones with the axes & cherries are to celebrate Washington's birthday?
I'm pretty sure the log cupcakes are in honor of George Washington's birthday... the cherry indicates the cherry tree he chopped down. Whether or not the trunk of the tree was made of poop is another story :)
I think the poo with the cherry on top must have something to do with George Washington's birthday? I think the poo is suposed to be the tree....??? I wonder where they found the plastic axes?!
I think the cherry/log cupcakes were for George Washington's birthday-- the "I cannot tell a lie, I chopped down that cherry tree" story. Not that that makes them any prettier.
I too want to see the sparkly cape and steampunk goggles photo! :-)
I'd comment,
but I have to go.
*snicker*
*snert* I lost it . .. "moral fiber" . . . *snert*
Here's more information about why poo is lucky in Japan:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/japanfan/9069/#tabs
I think that perhaps the cherry log things are supposed to be george washington's cherry tree...however that does not make them any more appetizing...
-Kat
I think maybe the poo logs with the axes and the cherries are for Washington's birthday. We've all heard that he chopped down the cherry tree when he was a kid, but now, thanks to the wreckerator, we know that it was actually a cherry-festooned poo log. ^o^
As for the Japanese and poo.... Someone may have mentioned this before but the Japanese word that is equivalent to "poo" (rather than other, harsher words for fecal matter) is "うんこ" (unko) or "うんち” (unchi). The kanji for luck is "運", pronounced "うん” (un). The word for good luck is ”幸運”, pronounced ”こううん” (kou-un - the first "u" signifies that you hold out the "o" sound a little longer). The Japanese are really fond of word play, especially puns, so, at some point in time, a humourous connection was made between poo and good luck.
(WV is "logua" *heh* "LOGua" XP)
I have actually seen cupcakes like the log ones at a bakery for Washington's Birthday! But they didn't look so much like poo. I think they used modeling chocolate.
That cake from Japan is traumatizing!
...and while I was typing up my comment, a bunch of other readers commented on the Washington/cherry tree thing.
Shades of "Epcot"... >_<
Gomen nasai! m(_ _)m
Hey, I'm pretty sure those axe cupcakes are celebrating George Washington's Epcot!
Btw.... *puke* not a morning appropriate post for me lol
Is it possible that the poo-and-cherry cupcakes were actually meant to, um, commemorate George Washington in some bizarre way? If the poo was actually meant to represent a tree trunk, and there's a cherry, a smidge of green foliage, and the plastic axe?
It's the only explanation I could think of.
I don't understand Japan's obsession with poo and combining the look of it with food. Has anyone seen the restaurant in Tokyo that serves chunky cream soups out of large bowls that look like toilets!? Why would you do that!?
Just guessing here, but I think the "flies" were meant to be dung beetles. Makes sense, when you think about it.
Oh! This makes the baby Jesus cry! I'm gagging!
Mr. Hanky & Redbull...I almost blew coffee out my nose. Thank god I didn't that would have hurt.
Hey at least you can wear your super Jen costume with sparkle cape and steampunk goggles for Halloween. And post pictures!
I'm with Annie Japannie.... the cherries don't look like cherries to me, they look like holly bits... very christmasy... but I agree with Jen - who cares what it was supposed to commemorate?! Why is there an ax, a log, and a cherry/holly on a teeny tiny cupcake?!?!?!
Especially the axe.... I feel like that's just wrong...
Tehehe. Great Job today! This post was excellent.... and I agree that the asian poop cake is awesome.
POOP-COT!!!!!
once again, Jen (and John, the awesome Hubby of Jen), my diet thanks you. :)
of course, after all the poop cakes, i'm feeling a bit reluctant to reach for a bowl of healthy bran cereal. or prunes. or that "regulating" yogurt.
i guess french fries could work for breakfast ;)
The cupcakes are the WORST.
In case no one's told you yet, I think the cupcakes with the cherries were supposed to be for George Washington's birthday.
;)
Honestly though, I kinda thought they were supposed to be graves at first... I guess it wasn't as obvious as everyone else thinks!
A George Washington Epcot post! Which is what I thought of too.
We are cake wreckers, my friends.
And we'll keep on wrecking to the end.
....But it's been no bed of roses,
just swirls of poo.
I consider it a challenge,
how do you spell that?
I have no clue!
Congratu, gradu, radu lations!
We are cake wreckers, my friends.
And we'll keep on wrecking to the end.....
'cause we are cake wreckers of the world.
Sharon's Edible Art
As much of a pain it must be to moderate and read all the epcot-ish comments...these days really made it amusing for the rest of us! And I LOL-ed at "Poop-Cot" above! NICE!
I'm mortified to be a part of the EPCOT today... Next time I'll wait awhile before commenting.
Besides that, I just got back from walking my dog, and she does better work than that last cake!
Some very nice "chocolate pretzels" from her today.
Please enlighten me, a faithful reader, on the "epcot" joke? :)
WV=comin. I'm not going there...
I adore you both!
Thanks for the Epcot warning John. Comments like these make my head hurt.
But the post....oh, the post.
Brilliant. I would love to own a Mr. Hanky on Redbull. I'd perch him on my shoulder and wear him proudly.
I guess the consensus is that those cupcakes are a bit of history.
For the record, it is absolutely true that George Washington did not lie about chopping down a maraschino cherry tree.
Ok, Jen, we want proof of your Super Jen costume! (flying or not) Come on, you can't leave us hanging like that.
OMG my WV is dyessera - too close to today's topic, if you ask me...
Happy Colonoscopy to you, too!
The one with the cherries looks like a fancy poop dessert and the one under it is a cute poop monster LOL
check out my blog: nikkiscakery.blogspot.com
That little poop monster is horrifying--I think I am freaked out by that one the most!
That log/axe/cherry picture?
I'm going with....Washington's Birthday?
Thanks for explaining who or what Mr. Hanky is. As for Red Bull, I was amazed when they changed the commercials to explain that the drink really doesn't give you wings. Why would they have to explain that? Are people really stupid enough to believe a drink could help you fly? It boggles the mind.
But at least the Red Bull drink gave Mr. Hanky some very pretty wings. Or something did!
For the record, I had no idea why the pooh logs had cherries on them.
And...oh wait! I totally get the title now! "Regular"!
But back to the previous, I even magnified the picture. Had to scroll down to see the 50 posters solve the mystery for me over and over again.
i think the logs with the axes and cherries are maybe "supposed" to be chopped down cherry trees..perhaps for george washington's birthday?
Are you SURE that last one isn't actually supposed to be poo? The little thing stuck in it kinda looks like a dog biscuit to me.
WV: rethum. These cakes looks like they came out of someone's...
And, yet, strangely, I have a craving for frosting...yummm....
(I need help)
The last cake is wrong on so many levels that I wouldn't know where to begin. I am so glad that I'd already eaten my lunch.
re: John's Update -
At least you can be thankful that they are not personally attacking you for not knowing what it was unlike the EPCOT fiasco.
I don't see it either. Even with the comments telling me what it is.
Not denying the Japanese obsession with poo, not saying the Japanese would not make a poo cake (in fact I'm pretty sure they would), and not ruling out the possibility of a Japanese poo cake disaster, but judging from the label, the "Japanese" wreckreation in this post is Chinese.
I walk dogs as a part-time job, and that last cake looks a lot like what I cleaned up today.
maybe those were Christmas yule- logs-for-one, like the French Buche de Noel. but like, on a cupcake. with a shovel/ax. and a cherry on top. (and the red and green)
otherwise I can think of no other explanation. unless it was the wreckerators last day and he was messing with the display.
but since these cakes inspire so much debate (is it a yule log? is it for Washington's birthday?) maybe they should be considered "art"?
I don't know what to think about intestine-cake though...
Hey, you know those logs are supposed to be for George Washington's Birthday? Because, of course, a cherry and a poo-log with a plastic ax is the PERFECT way to commemorate his being dead for nearly 200 years. Wait, are we supposed to celebrate someone's birthday with cake even after they're dead? Ok. Count me in.
WHAT?! NOT AN EPBOT! Oh me gorsh! Quick! Someone tell me what it is! I *never* scan the comments to read what others say, before me, so someone PLEASE enlighten me....oh...wait....you mean all those other comments about...yeah...uhuh. Ok. Nevermind. :D
I don't think the Japanese poo cake has bunnies on it. I think those are it's "hands" with a peace sign on one and a rock 'n roll sign on the other? It's party poop!
That last one had a cherry on top AND a dog bone. Or is it supposed to be a gingerbread cookie? Hard to say.
The Japanese poo cake would ALMOST be cute...but the one eye looks like it's falling off, and I've been watching horror movies all October to prepare for Halloween, so...
*runs, shrieking*
Good thing my son is in school when I read here. I'd have to explain my mad dash for the loo after a burst of full out guffaw and sploosh of XS energy drink on the computer.
Jen -- awesome on the costume --- PROOF!!! PROOF!!! WE WANT PROOF!!! *indoor voice -please-?*
Poor George. So mal-igned.
Why do Japanese get cute poo, and we get Mr Hanky? (Also very glad that it's been a while since I heard that stupid Christmas song with him in it - I am NOT looping it all day today!!)
Thank you again for helping me with my ongoing decision to avoid sweets, especially chocolate flavored ones. *sigh*
~~Di
They are hilarious, hope non of my cake sturn out this bad!
First of all, the swirlies on the ends of the Poop-cot cupcakes are a nice touch.
Secondly, there is an ad in the sidebar for one of those "cartoon yourself" sites, which, unfortunately, features a man who appears to be straining a little too much. How apropos.
I rarely read the comments unless someonementions an Epcot (Poocot, Canadepcot, etc) moment. About 30 comments or so down you can kind of see the Epcot tide shifting...
...And now back to your regular post.
George cut down a tree with a shovel?
"We have an EPCOT!" Snort.
Unlike other posters, I can actually read the other posts before posting (said with snooty erzatz British accent)...
LuxVesperis is correct--I'd guess that cake is probably from Taiwan (which does have a pretty strong Japanese influence, after all). And it's the home of the Modern Toilet Restaurant: http://yeinjee.com/2007/taiwan-modern-toilet-restaurant/
Yup.
In Japan, the Golden Poo is for good luck. There's a whole product line for it. Here's an article about it. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/ek20070320wh.html
I didn't get Washington's birthday with those cupcakes. I did get Lorena Bobbitt's birthday . . . maybe? That's what it looked like to me, anyway.g
Three things:
1: LOVED the punnage (is that even a word?)
2: I want to see Super Jen's costume!
3: John's update was the cherry on the... OK, lame joke. :P Seriously though, the "WE HAVE AN EPCOT!" cracked me up. :D
Hmmm, maybe the poo logs with the axes (?) and cherries were for President's weekend. George Washington did chop down the cherry tree.
@TXpiespies: My husband is a big fan of Japanese (pop) culture and has that tiny lucky golden poo hanging from his cell. No joke. Best $4 I ever spent for a Christmas present.
I think the cupcakes would be ideal in case Congress decides to move either Washington's birthday or Christmas so that they coincide. You know, have all the holidays in the same month, as a money-saving measure. Yeah, that's the ticket!
Yes, I did read the other comments first. By the way, the real name of 'Epcot' is 'Spaceship Earth'. And 'Pave Paradise' is really 'Big Yellow Taxi'. Just thought you'd want to know.
Redundancy rules!
Giggling over Epcot. Had to research that one first.
I think aside from looking like a poop, the last one may have been intended to look like a cappucino (with a cherry on top.. yeah maybe not) or something. It kinda looks like a coffee from above? No?
heh. Danger boy said duty
Wow..
I think #4 has hands making both the peace sign and rock on...There are no words to express how disturbing it is...
I sense the "chopping a log" picture could be a poor representation of the historical story (though a myth) of George Washington chopping down a cherry tree in honor of Presidents day?
Oh poo. I should've read some comments before posting since there are other more smart people than me. :P
Why would anyone celebrate George Washington's Birthday with cupcakes that look like poo? I mean, on George's birthday, wouldn't you be compelled to tell the truth?!? Hopefully, it doesn't taste like it looks. Actually, I'm just sorry I didn't think of it for my office! There's always next year! Go, George!!!!
My calender for today is blank/fails to note anything special.
As for the logs, how thoughtful. Someone remembered to bring a shovel to scoop up/bury what the dog dropped. Just doing what's best to keep Spaceship Earth tidy.
Mr.Hanky? What? Who? Too many jagerbombs I think.
Smiling, air-scratching kitty and, yes, golden poo -- that's in a local donut/ice cream shop. I go there for the after 3P, half-price, half dozen donuts. and fudge sundaes.
The Nuts and Corn comment has me cleaning off the monitor. Very spew-worthy.
Is that a sponge on the last one?
-Journey
Logs with axes and cherries gotta be Washington's Birthday (and I refuse to read all 84 comments so someone has undoubtedly got there before me).
"I cannot tell a lie - it was I who chopped down your cherry tree."
Still and all, those logs are the closest things to poo 'logs' I've ever seen on a cake.
Is there NOTHING the Japanese can't make cute? They have definitely cornered the market in that area. From Maru to poo, there's nothing the Japanese can't, uh, doo?
Ohmygoodness I most definitely laughed out loud (L'd OL, if you will) at John's update!
Is it safe to come out from under my desk yet?
This is waaaAyyyy worse than Epcot!! Epcots shall hereafter be referred to as GW Cherry Logs.
Alex
@roballen: just reading three of the 84 comments would suffice. Don't be lazy and drive everyone else crazy. The comments can be entertaining. Then y'all have to go and mess it up.
Alex
Wv: rexthrath
Thothe rexthrath some tathsty cakths.
Well that's just some crappy decorating. ;o)
Jen, you're brilliant! But (butt?) of course we have all those Wreckerators to thank, too!
I'm no expert, but I believe the "logs" in question are perhaps cherry trees, from which to celebrate Washington's birthday?
Sue
Oh man, those cupcakes literally made me gag Dx
But the link to Japan's poop obsession is quite nifty! They have chocolate balls that are supposed to resemble deer droppings ^_^ AND they have the most hilarious (and pretty graphic for a cartoon) ad for a singing tiger that aids potty training. So funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6-KrrIbAEs&feature=player_embedded
Where can one purchase a Superperson costume with a Sparkle Cape and Steam Punk Goggles? Just wondering- when my kids are in High School I may need to walk them to school one day. Or use the costume as ammo- "I will walk you to school wearing that if you..."
Oh... dear...
The first picture in particular looks GREAT with the gravel-encrusted bottom!
The second one looks like a Pooterfly.
That last cake has scarred me for life.
*gets out Epcot survival kit*
What is the last one even supposed to be? XD I've been staring at it and I can't for the life of me figure it out. It's like the wreckerator wanted to make a cake that looked like dog poop.
What the eff is that last cake supposed to be??
And I agree... except for the intentional poo cake, I'd hurl if somebody presented me with those things.
wv: gascidat - what I'd say if presented with those cakes. "Ga!scidat outta here!"
This reminds us of a George Washington joke.
A little boy chopped down a tree. His Daddy asked who did it. The little boy admitted that he did. His Daddy gave him a spanking.
Through his tears, he said "George Washington's Daddy didn't spank him."
Daddy replied "His father wasn't IN the tree!"
wv: peyno -peyno mind to the Epcotters
Not being American, I didn't see George Washington's cherry tree, but instead I got the Lumberjack Song in my head, these lines in particular:
"I cut down trees, I eat my lunch, I go to the lava-treeeee."
I never thought I'd see them all portrayed together in such a wrecktacular fashion. I find the little green bogeys that are decorating them somewhat disturbing though.
I love reading the comments, especially when you find the point where John has updated (reflected in the following comments) and some people are still Epcotting all over the place.
Maybe... chopping down the cherry tree... George Washington reference?
Yay! I got the Mr. Hanky/Red Bull reference. I am officially not old!
WV: ferses. In a battle of cakewreckers fersus good taste, the wreckerators always win.
love it, love it, love it! mr.hankie the red-bull drinking poo should team up w/ those yule-log cupcakes for a merry holiday bash! that'd be a sight to see :D seriously, though, your blog is so amazing, it's my go-to for laughter & appetite suppression!
& thanks for featuring the photo of the japanese poo cake! i live in japan now & desperately wanted my kids & husband to get me a poo-cake for my birthday..but, no..instead my husband was promoted to Chief (he's in the USN), & we didn't see him for near a month..so, we're having poo-cake w/ poo-lolli-pops on thanksgiving!
hey did you think that the cherry cupcakes were celebrating the day cherry merry muffin started using bran?
I can't believe no one figured out that the cherry poo logs were for George Washington's birthday!
Hidey Ho, Kyle!
I'm fifty and I got both the Mr. Hankey (the Christmas Poo) and Red Bull references. Don't sell the old people short.
There I was smiling at the hilarious commentary and the so-disgusting-I-can't-stop-staring wrecks as I scrolled upon John's update. But did I listen? NOOOOOO! He even warned "This is not a drill!"
But I thought, "Oh surely not!" and away I clicked to the comments. I now have only myself to blame for this migraine of Epcot proportion!
I can just picture the Lisa Loopners and Todd DiLaMucas sniffling and pushing their glasses back up their noses, hunched over their keyboards, as they "educate" Jen, John, and the rest of us.
I'm gonna get some Excedrin and get back under the desk.
wtf is that last one supposed to be??? seriously, is it a disappointing bowel movement??
the cherry/log/axe visual will give the bunny-headed flies a run for the money in my nightmares tonight. UGH
-Barbara Anne
I happened upon you blog by accident and ending up sending a link to all my friends. How funny, my husband and I are still laughing. Even deocorated like a butterfly it still looks like poop. I'll be laughing for days. Thanks! :)
Oh man those "logs" with the axes and cherries made me feel a bit ill. What were they thinking??? Everything starts to look like poo when chocolate is in the mix. And I love chocolate to death just not when it looks like Mr. Hanky or a Great Dane's pile..yuck.
I think the cherry on top for the third one was a representation of George Washington chopping the cherry tree.
I love the devil-horns hands the poo-monster has raised. What a hilarious-awful cake phenomenon... weird googly eyes, flies and devil horns... on a pile of turd.
Thanks for the laugh!
As if I wasn't already feeling depressed about turning 23 in 2 1/2 weeks (before you hate on me, I know, it's not that old, it just feels that way to me!), I had to reference your "EXPLANATION FOR OLDER GENERATIONS" in order to fully understand a wreck. Crap. (hehe...that was an accident!)
On the other hand, how the heck did everyone come up with the thing for Washington's birthday? And who buys cupcakes to celebrate it??
~Kellie
All I could think of with the poo and the ax was the baker must have IBS and the plunger wasn't strong enough? Log choppin saves time and energy by preventing the clog in the first place....
Sorry to say, but the Japanese can't be blamed for the living poo cake.
The language beneath is Chinese.
came to read the comments and had to post because my WV is "ingess" ...
I think someone's been some "ingess"ting too much fiber lately!
:)
This has probably already been said, but just in case...
That cake isn't Japanese. Yes, Japanese are obsessed with poop. But the card in front of that cake isn't written in Japanese or show a price in yen. ;)
Some of those cakes could make a chocolate buttecream fan like myself think twice ;(
LOL Epcot! *Whooop-whoooop* Red alert! Red Alert! This is not a drill! I repeat, this is NOT a drill! This is what you have been trained for! Dive! Dive! Dive under your desks!
I know! Those cupcakes are for someone who had their gall bladder removed. It symbolizes a see-through container to view what used to empty into your gall bladder (look cherries!). The axe symbolizes the instrument used to take out a gall bladder (How would you know? You're anesthetized!). Oh, you mean that's not it? George Washington? Really? Huh. ;-D
wv: nesseses - It's nesseses to explains Epcots agains and agains to those hobbitses.
This wv would have been good for yesterday's post with boss', boss's, and bosses. Those nasty bosseses...oops shhh mine's coming!
Ok, my 3 year old was walking by as I perused this post and he said "mommy, what's that?" I asked him what he thought it was. He said, and I quote, "Yucky poo poo!" I laughed harder than I had at the original photos :)
I'm pretty sure the "logs" are actually meant to depict cherry trees. You know, President's Day cupcakes to celebrate George Washington's chopping down his father's cherry tree. Nothing like celebrating bad behavior with cake.
"And sometimes corn" SNORT!
I'm waiting for the Poo covered Epcot. Seriously. With cherries. And nuts. For that realistic effect.
No.
I'm not kidding.
...Why are you all laughing at me?
WV - cuouren: What happens to your urine when you eat too much poo cake.

Hey! I'm pretty sure fifty thousand other people haven't said this before me, but I think the log cupcakes are for Washington's derrrrpday. Hurr durr comment. ;)
This is a song about poo
I know the word is taboo
Don't make a hullabaloo
It's something all of us do...
I close to blaming Richard Stilgoe for inspiring bakers to decorate their cakes with poop, but I can't!
Hey, I think those cherry logs are meant to commemorate Epcot's birthday.
Isn't there a poo themed restaurant somewhere in Japan? I think I saw something about it on the Travel Channel.
Oh man, these were awesomely hilarious!
Oh, I lost it LONG before "moral fiber", I almost fell out of my chair at the epic "This is NOT a cherry-on-top moment!", looking at those poop log cakes with the little axes in them.
I don't know HOW the wreckerators stuck those little hatchets in the icing dumps without bowling over at the waist laughing.
The Fecal Monster there looks very very close to a very certain raid monster in World of Warcraft:
http://wowraid.com/img/icecrown/festergut/festergut.jpg
WV: Lubeties. No comment!
Mr. Hanky the christmas poo!!!
Howdy Ho!!!
Interesting that 'Happy Birthday' on the Japanese cake is written in English. And it's really cutes. :S
Okie, I cannot possibly read through all 138 comments above me, so I don't know if anyone has mentioned this already - but the poo cake picture was actually taken in Taiwan.
If you look really really closely, the price listed on the name tag was in 'NT$ 500', which means New Taiwan dollar. Approximately US$16.
Definitely miniature Yule Logs and NOT anything to do with George Washington. Look up Yule Log on wikipedia.
someone may have already mentioned, but i couldnt read through all the posts. dodo monster: bunny faces? nah, friendly monster hands. one giving peace sign, the other rock fingers. he is very sweet.
I think those cupcakes are representing george washington's birthday or something... just a guess ;)
