Atlantis, We Have a Problem

When celebrating ten years with the space program, remember:

One wrecker's space shuttle is another's castle.

With a giant dong on it.

Thanks to Rochelle W. for reminding us that women in space have come a long way.

  1. Cake Wrecks has made me realize just how phallic the space shuttle really is. I never thought about it until Women in Space.

  2. Well, that's the most interesting castle-dong-shuttle I've ever seen. I can honestly say that.

  5. It's diseased. And so much fail...

I really wish I knew what the wreckerator thought when they stepped back and looked at this one.

  6. If I were Rochelle, I wouldn't go near that thing until it had a shower and a 10-day course of antibiotics.

  7. Is anyone else having flash-backs to Disney's "The Little Mermaid" VHS cover?

(yes, i did just date myself :P )

  8. Now THAT'S a rocket! Zing!

(Is that '70s-era funked-out porn guitar I hear in the distance? Wakka-wow, Wakka-wow-wow...)

  9. The bakers of today really need to take their minds out of the gutter. Every other cake resembles poop or unmentionable body parts.

  10. When I saw this cake the song "Rocketman" started playing in my head. (Yes, my brain runs a constant soundtrack.) Then I noticed the add to the left of the wreck was for an upcoming Elton John concert. Weird coincidence. (Yes, I said "upcoming". Get your mind out of the gutter!)

  11. Hmmm..astro...NOT! Though this may explain the inspiration for Jerry Lee Lewis's hit "Great Balls of Fire."

  12. Note to castle thingy:
The Enrichment Center promises to always provide a safe testing environment.
In dangerous testing environments, the Enrichment Center promises to always provide useful advice.

For instance, the floor here will kill you. Try to avoid it."

  13. Castles are pretty phallic, too. All those, erm, spires.

I could make a comment here about that being why girls love them, but that would be kind of ... eeeewwwwwww.

  14. One has to wonder what kind of job that baker thinks Rochelle is doing, that she gets not one but THREE giant phallic symbols on her cake! And a well... splattered?!... full set of equipment on top. Unless... someone is very happy to see her each morning. o.O

But at least today's cake wasn't flesh-coloured, unlike the last women-in-space one. (Oh, I had forgotten that gem)

  15. I have to agree with Fluffy Cow... really, what did they think???

  17. The black fuzzy (furry?) stuff adds a nice accent to the work.

At least the chocolate chip cookie looks yummy....

  18. The image on that cookie "cake" looks like the setting for the inevitable "Harry Potter" porno spoof... O_o

  19. Wow, I just happened to be wearing my NASA t-shirt today, perfect for the giant dong rocket you're featuring. NASA = Not Another Sexual Astronaut (?)

(OMG, I just realized it says Great Job. :x)

  22. Is it just me but the brown blob on the left of the dong/rocket looks like a mini godzilla?

    That's the prefect preogi cake.

  27. I love the witty, sly, verbal puns refering to penii on Cakewrecks; but sometimes, I really like it when you just call 'em like you see 'em, too. Thanks for the chortle--I nearly spit my ice cappaccino all over my keyboard!

  28. I'll admit it, my comment today has absolutely nothing to do with the creepy cake today. It is a protest. I will admit it, I am a fan of Wilton on Facebook. Sadly their featured cake/technique today was a baby butt covered with a blanket. They said that it is a trend among baby shower cakes. This "trend" MUST be stopped!!!

    Thank you.

  29. Lol....they just showed the shuttle landing again, "the Space Program - stimulating the imagination of a nation like no other." There you go.
