Talk to the Cookie

Monday, September 20, 2010

Finally, a "Get Well" cookie cake that avoids that whole awkward "well-wishing" part:

The pink is for emphasis.

Also goes great with this classic Wreck:

And you thought cake couldn't sound exasperated. Or is that relieved?

Thanks to Valerie V., who knows better than to antagonize a woman with a loaded piping bag.

My cakes all insist on being exasperated. Just. SIGH!

Well... at least it doesn't say "It's not herpes!"

O.o %-(

Yikes.

Exaspercake... I like it.

wv: Farberl it from me to diss a second helping!!!

I swear, at first, I thought it said "It's just a Gold sore"

Cold sore has to be two of the most unappetizing words ever put together.

Siobhan said...

Hahaha I was just thinking what Anonymous said, "At least it's not herpes!"

I kinda like the first one!

WHY in the WORLD would someone want a cake that says "It's just a cold sore"? What's the story behind that? LOL...

Lynn said...

Now I have the oddest craving to see "I'm not pregnant" spelled out in icing

Ash said...

Ewww... there are just some things you do not celebrate with a cake. T.M.I.

The first decorator got it all wrong. It definitely should have said "Save the Drama for Yo' Mama"
Hahaha

Oh, and I want to jump off the band-wagon everyone else seems to be on. I don't like the multi-posts in one day. I like the long ones. They tend to have a theme (which, yes, is more work for you, but funnier!) Then again, I dislike change in general :)

Hey Anon, 1:52 - a cold sore IS herpes. Still, it's not funny no matter what you want to call it.

The second cake is lying.

cold sores & cakes. Didn't know that went together. YUM CAKE.

I think I just lost my appetite!

Ick!

I ask you, who in the world would want a cake/cookie/whatever with "save the drama for your mama" on it?

OTOH, I can think of a few people who might be deserving of a cake with that particular message. Would I give it to them? Probably not. I guess not everyone is as hesitant as I am!

And was the 'cold sore' cake given to poor Amber? ;)

Anonymous said...

Anon 3:00 pm... duh. But at least it doesn't SAY it that way.

wv - joided... since when did cakewreck viewers become so joided?

That cake does not work with an English accent, I had to read it a few times before I worked it out.

A cold/gold sore? Oh well, I guess that explains the disturbing yellow seepage coming from those, um, roses or whatever they are.

Love the exasperated cake! It is now my goal to make all my cakes exasperated!

WTF?!

I got a request for "Oww, my butt hurts" across a cake. She said it was a family joke.

I told her to please not abandon it in the grocery store so I wouldn't have to explain the inscription to my manager. (I'm a bakery clerk -- I only write, I don't wrec-, er, decorate.)

I think I'm going to switch to that doctor who writes your diagnosis in icing on a cake.

Arlene said...

Wonders what kind of a cake it would be if it wasn't just a cold sore? Would they announce it on the cake lol. I sure wouldn't want to eat a piece of it.. scary truth in advertising cakes..Plus I used up all the drama for my mom when I was a teenager so she's safe..maybe.

Hahaha! This is funny.. LOL.. though I love it..! Really nice.. It's very creative and colorful and mouth watering cake.

exasperating cake. Sounds like a bakers nightmare. All these cakes whining at once about their treatment and what their life is coming to.

cold sores are a form of herpes simplex one. someone shouldve told them that

it's a little late, but I think that "It's just a cold sore" is a (fantastical) reference to MXC.

It's not my cake, but my friend and I laughed at that line for years (still do). It's something that I should have put on her birthday cake years ago!
