Swirly roses make me happy.
Ta-da!
I love the soft pastels on these birthday bunnies:
This one, too:
See the little bunny butts in the circles? I like how modern and subtle they are.
Or how about this cute chick?
These ribbons and flowers really pop out at you:

Sooo pretty!
Try not to melt when you see these cupcakes:

Stand back; I may faint from cute overload.
Those toppers are actually decorated cookies. And the sanding sugar on the Peeps? PERFECTION.
In fact, there are tons of gorgeous Easter cookies out there:

I want those carrots. The swirly outlines are so fun!
(For lots more cookie cuties, check out this round-up. Gorgeous!)
Whenever I think of Easter, I think of lilies. So for a more elegant turn, let's check out some of the best gumpaste stargazer lilies I've ever seen:

All of those flowers and foliage are handmade. Seriously! Click on the pic and look at it close-up: you'll be blown away. Plus, this is only one of three tiers; hit the link to see the others.
Now, how about some calla lilies?

Breath-taking. The leaf swirls really make the design come alive.
And finally, here's a perfect combination of elegance and whimsy:

Of course, I *am* biased when it comes to sugar carrots. ;)
Have a Sweet to nominate? Then send it to Sunday Sweets [at] Cake Wrecks [dot] com.
I just kept going Awwwwww :D
ReplyDeleteThe best Sunday Sweets you have ever done.
ReplyDeleteSQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! these are amazing. I know I think that every Sunday...but wow.
ReplyDeletemake sure to click on the link to see the additional cookie pics. I'm not a fan of decorated cookies (to eat, anyway) but they are astonishing! :D

D'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone is so scrumptious looking and beautiful works of art! What a nice Easter Day share - thank you and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Jen, and John! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face every day!
ReplyDeleteWow - those are adorable! And, I hate to be one of those correcting-your-posts commenters, but are you sure those flowers aren't all daisies? ;) Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOMG I never thought I would see peeps I actually wanted to eat, but those cupcakes look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI want the bunny in the second cake -- that floppy ear is just irresistible.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of them a fantastic, you understand, but that bunny has character.
I love all of these. But I love Callas the most. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love these! Especially the Calla lillies (I love Callas) and that last running rabbit cake!
ReplyDeleteJen, I don't know what to say.. You just made my morning. : )
ReplyDeleteThe perfect antidote to the week's Wrecks...and gorgeous reminders that there really are people out there who can make incredibly beautiful cakes. Happy Edster, Eappy, Easter, or something else or nothing to all.
ReplyDeletegreat post! i absolutely love those cookies!
ReplyDeletehahaha i thought the bunny butts on the circles were upside down awareness ribbons. perhaps i should take a break from work ...
ReplyDeleteso much cuteness, i just can't stand it! the cupcakes are adorable, as are the cookies, and the... well, everything really.
ReplyDeletethanks as always.
Such lovely bunnies, chicks and flowers! Definitely a nice interlude on this drizzly Easter morning.

Oooo... important to enlarge the bunny butt cake. It is very cute, but I thought they were chromosomes and it was a baby shower cake.
ReplyDeleteSigh...

OMG, I clicked on the link for the-icing-on-the-cake to better see the stargazer lilies as you suggested, but was immediately distracted when scrolling down and seeing that birdcage cake. Soooooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see the two brown bunnies were done by two different bakeries. The faces are exactly the same. I was disappointed there weren't any non-fondant cakes today. I like to see the beauty of a cake and want to eat it too. There's no palate appeal to the look of dry fondant.
ReplyDeleteHey, what about the duckies? Baby ducks are Easter icons too (so is Jesus, I guess)! Where's some water fowl love?
ReplyDeleteGooey mess over here after I melted over those cakes. I live them all!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are so perfect, I had an instinctive need to sniff at them on the larger picture, and that's looking at them through a computer monitor. Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI've become addicted to Sugarbelle's blog recently. Not only are her cookies amazing, and not only does she feature other amazing cookies, but she's extremely generous with posting how-tos. I'm inclined to try something soon based on such inspiration.
So lovely.
ReplyDeleteThose cakes make me very Eappy. :)
This was such a relief after the hideous bright-pink CCC I had to serve this morning!
ReplyDeleteI was, however, momentarily distracted from the cute carrot cookies by the bunny's mammary glands... Or maybe I'm the only one that saw those.
The flowers on that heart cake are awe-inspiring... We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
ReplyDelete@ Kristin --
ReplyDeleteI think those are supposed to be the bunny's front paws being held up cutely in front.

German nude beach?
Dear Jen,
ReplyDeleteThank you soooooo very much!! You´ve just made my day.
Took my breath away! I want that little chick in the egg cake! :)
ReplyDeleteBunny Butts = CUTE.
ReplyDeleteBaby Butts = NOT.
;) Mags
@Kristen: I believe those are supposed to be paws.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just kept saying wow, wow, wow, etc!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank goodness, after all of the horrible cakes you've been showing all week. I was having nightmares, but these are all a dream. I especially liked the bunny tails in the circles cake.
ReplyDeleteLove them all, but that last one has to be one of the most gorgeous cakes I have ever seen. There is nothing I don't like about it.
ReplyDeleteThose Easter cakes are gorgeous! They make me want to go out and learn how to make cakes like that for my family and friends. So adorable! Nice change from those nightmarish mistakes that we usually see.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful cakes. I'm so glad we have Sunday Sweets to remind us that there are elegant and beautiful cakes out there. These are amazing examples of that.
ReplyDeleteSuper High on the cute scale!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, one of the best line ups of truly gorgeous cakes that I have ever seen in one place! Thank you for continuing to stun! (and crack me up!!!!) :-)
ReplyDeleteDebbie S.
pardon me while i melt into a gooey mess after witnessing all that adorableness
ReplyDeleteSwirly flowers make me happy too! I just realized that! Thanks!
ReplyDeletelovely, just lovely.
ReplyDeletethe cookies are perfect
Ahh the sweets sure make my week. Especially after those haunting lamb cakes lol. I want all of those yummy cookies :D.
ReplyDeleteDang girl! It's amazing! I loved the stargazer lily cake. WOW. But really, if you haven't you must click the cookie link and check out the amazing creations. I could never bring myself to eat them!
ReplyDeleteThese completely make up for all the frightening wrecks this week. Awwwwwwwwwwww!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure those are daisies on that first cake :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Easter post!
Wow. I want some of those lilies. I wonder if there's a way to save and frame something made out of gumpaste... because it's really a work of art sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI love the soil on the bunny-popping-up-out-of-carrot-patch cake. You can almost taste that chocolate-crumbly good stuff.
